Having a backfield of Steve Slaton and Pat White goes a long way toward success. I question whether he'll get that kind of talent again.

Vince Dooley was an ok coach who caught lightning in a bottle in 1980 and rode it the rest of his career. UGA was a different program with Herschel Walker and was never the same after he left. I think this may turn out to be the case with RR. scUM hired a guy who'd already had his peak.

I agree...

The bitter WVU fans to this day claim that the only reason RRod had any success at WVU was because of a skinny QB named Pat White and a tiny RB named Steve Slaton. Those two are gamebreakers who can make anyone look good.
