I stand with Jim Tressel - How Firm Thy Friendship

Jim Tressel has and will always be a gentleman and a scholar. His presence was not felt merely in the community of football that we all know, love and cherish... his presence was felt throughout the community of humanity. And for that we owe him our thanks. I stand with Jim Tressel!

Maybe it's already been posted, but if you haven't read this from eleven warriors yet, you should.

Coach Tressel is and always will be one of the all time great leaders of our university imo.

A different take on Coach Tressel's approach to coaching / teaching his players.....with Troy Smith used as an example (as well as Antonio Smith mentioned), but I'm sure there are hundreds of other examples of players and situations over the past 10 years that we'll never hear / read about.

ESPN just brought in Spielman, Hooley and a professor from Ohio U to talk about Tressel.

The lack of bias will be strong with this interview.

EDIT: Aside from the OU guy it isn't bad. OU guy called it an "unforgivable sin."

Yes I still consider him a great coach and man. I am sorry that one or a group of transgressions will always bring someone down. The bottom feeders are relentless.

Go Bucks-Go Coach Fickell-

+1.

I'm sad.

And pissed at the bulk of the media.

And I am none too excited about Pryor driving yet another car with temp tags on it to the meeting. I don't care if there is a 'good explanation'...I am tired of having to go to the 'but wait, there is a good explanation' well. It is running dry even for me, an ardent supporter of the program.

I was good with OSU riding this out via the high and silent road, waiting for the NCAA to speak and letting the small minded press have their fun in the muck. But if JT isn't part of that scenario anymore... then fuck it. Let's get a baseball bat and swing back at this hollow garbage the press is using to paint JT as evil reincarnate or start rolling heads throughout the administration. Smith couldn't have handled this worse IMO and now that the baby is gone..let's drain the bath water.

I bet how I feel right now is EXACTLY how Woody felt as Watergate was going down around his good friend. Just a shame all the way around and no one wins...I mean NO ONE. What a fucking travesty.
