Back to the girls in glasses.

I'll be one of the first to admit that Oregon cheerleaders are the stuff- national champions, hardbodies, hot.

But the two of you have absolutely no business commenting on anyone's appearance or weight.

So, you thought the one on the right was a water-buffalo as well?

As much as I hate the Ducks, their cheerleaders are SMOKING HOT. They recruit them out of California and a few from the NW. Because they offer "competitive cheer" as a "sport", they can offer scholarships.

There's more pictures/videos if you search YouTube, ESPN cheerleader profiles, Busted Coverage, and others... Amanda Pflugrad is arguably the most "famous" UO cheerleader, just type her name into google.

I didn't create the part that said "red" corner, it was borrowed from a video promoting t-shirts.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I'm really curious to hear about how the Duck fans treated tOSU fans there in Pasadena. I can't imagine it's any better than they treat the rest of the Pac-10's fans.

All the UW Huskies fans out here in Seattle tell me stories of Ducks fans throwing bags of piss at other teams fans. Those kind of stories make it easy to hate on the Ducks.

Seeing some of our cheerleaders sans makeup and in less conservative wear. I can personally vouch that our cheerleaders are just as hot.

My wife (then fiancee)'s roomates were OSU cheerleaders.

And our cheerleaders didn't feel the need to put on jackets at halftime because they were cold, like the Oregon cheerleaders did lol.

Someone pointed out to me that our cheerleaders actually got more face time than UO's. When I rewatched, it does seem that way. Then again, with as long as we had the ball on offense, they probably had a lot more to cheer about lol.

A friend of a friend of mine cheered for OSU a couple of years ago and shared that she was under scholarship when she cheered. And our cheerleaders compete for National Championships, just like our football program. Only 8 programs make it to that competition and Oregon isn't one of them. Just sayin'. Being an OSU cheerleader is about more than just being hot.

And I know that is waaaaayy more cheerleading info than anyone even cares about. Just wanted to throw some props our girls' way! Some of those stunts they do just blow my mind!

No offense, but the Duck cheerleaders are among the nation's best every year. They actually are one of the innovating teams moving the NCAA away from "Cheerleading" as a designation and toward a "Stunts and Tumbling" designation in an effort to be continually accepted as a varsity sport.

Until the NCAA does that, there will be several different "schools" of cheerleading competition; I imagine that tOSU goes to a different one than Oregon.

(I work with the cheer coach at the university that pays me; when our girls go to nationals for the last five years, Oregon has always been in the top three. She chalks it up to Nike money. Go figure).

Not that it doesn't mean that our cheer squadron doesn't kick ass, or that all things Ohio are better than all things Oregon.

Enough cheer talk- I need to go grate my face against Buckyle's beard shavings as a public punishment for even entering this conversation.

It's all good. I was just trying to say that our girls aren't the chopped liver many fans make them out to be when comparing to Oregon's girls. Different strokes for different folks, right? The University of Kentucky cheerleading program pretty much wrote the book on tumbling and stunts and they win this competition (UCA Championships) almost every year. You don't even get invited to the finals unless you do all those things and OSU does them well. Besides I quite like that particular competition...especially when it airs on ESPN in late January/early February every year :wink2:

But you're right. Let's get back to things like this:

Man, that's a great photo- I knew the Honda plant in Marysville was an important part of the economy for that part of the state, but didn't realize that they'd become official team sponsors.

Wonder what a Honda Buckeye looks like? I'd buy one... probably runs on Wolverine tears.
