I prefer the .22 cal method. I just borrow my dad's browning .22 target pistol with some cb caps in it removes the head quite nicely...:dead:

I don't recommend using anything larger than the .22 pistol though I tried a .22 long once but it traveled pretty far after the initial impact

Sorry. Shovels and guns are the only two weapons I have ever used. Maybe I'll have to go visit my father's or brother's farms this spring and and try it.

Roll some groundhog bombs in there and smoke them out. Basically a sulfur bomb you put down there that flushes them out and then pound them in the head with a shovel or bat.

Just sayin': Ground hogs just want to have fun.
