I Miss/Remember When... (Merged)

Lived in Walnut Heights and Eastland Mall was our go too but my first home was in Bexley and what I miss was riding the bus with my momto the downtown Lazarus and seeing the toy department with everything advertised on TV.

I can still taste the chicken with dressing at the Lazarus cafeteria. As a kid, that was the one time every year when we would eat out.

My Grandma's house was right next door to Hayes HS (Delaware, OH). There was a cut through the chain link fence and we could climb down behind the visitor bleachers. That's where our Easter egg hunts were conducted. But there was a store right before we got to that exit. It sits behind the Wendy's, gas station, and McDonald's. I want to say it was Hall's. That popcorn smell was inviting. Every time I go into a Target, I get that reminder.

Tri-County and Forest Fair Malls (Cincinnati area) have long been gone and wastelands. However, Kenwood Towne Center (the rich, snobby mall) is still going but a shell of itself and has very strict rules on lids these days due to a lot of issues that did not exist in the 80s or 90s when a young LovelandBuckeye walked through the mall in my finest Starter jacket and/or jersey.

went to Kenwood a couple weeks ago and that place was hoppin. So many people and plenty of stores. My girls love that place
