maybe he wasn't going 50

Seriously though, glad you're OK. I heard there was a double digit death toll in the Chicago area, mostly because of car crashes.

I'm pretty sure he was doing something similar. He was catching up a bit to me as I was slowing coming down the hill.........

I enjoyed the snow yesterday. I went around town and pulled people out of ditches, and warmed them up with glasses of hot cocoa. I even saved a dog who had fallen through the ice. What a day. :tongue2:

Seriously though, bummer about your accident Mike, glad to hear your alright.

Actually I kind of wish I had....I want to know how the guy behind me missed the wreck entirely...... :wink2:

He probably wasn't driving 50ish, like the other assholes.

I'm always amazed at the number of stupid drivers that continue to drive fast in snowy weather. I ALWAYS get a laugh when someone passes me going fast and a few miles down the road, I see them off the side of the road, stuck in the snow.(as long as they're not hurt, I'm not Thump).

Glad you saved a dog! Now what can you do for mine? Actually she had what we thought was a cyst on her leg it was a mass. They will send it out for a biopsy. She may wind up out at Ohio State with Dr.Couto out there,we had our other dog under his care & did wonderful for a year & 2 months. His last 2 days were his worst. Then we let him go.
So we can only hope for this to be a fatty tumor with an ample blood supply. She seems fine right now.

I figured that! That is extremely cool that you can do that though, and did do that.
Have you ever had to rescue a horse at all?
She is in the best of hands,my vet is like a brother to me(I'll forgive him for going to Penn State I guess)! He is stopping by to check on her later,he lives a mile from me.
If she needs the Chemotherapy we will go to Ohio State, she will be in the best of hands there.

So here I am, driving towards Dayton on I-70 - I have to get something done at work and then I get to turn around and go back home....

I'm driving towards I-675 and it's practically a whiteout. I'm slowing down, but before it went into a whiteout, there wasn't anyone in front of me.

You can imagine my surprise when fully 50 yards in front of me, an 18 wheeler just shows up. I never really saw him and I honestly saw the top of his trailer before I saw his hazards.

So I'm doing about 50-ish, but he's doing about 20. still I had 50 yards to play with. Unfortunately, the road, which looked clear, was a sheet of ice. I locked all four of my wheels up and I hit him at about 45 MPH. There was a car behind me, but I don't know how he missed this wreck.

Thankfully my car slid STRAIGHT for the 50 yards and thankfully he had his ICC bar so I didn't go under the trailer.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

I hate snow.

Going 50 in a whiteout? That's smart. :roll1:
