I hate obnoxious salesmen

So, its 3 in the morning and I am looking up some hi def TVs that I might buy here early in september when I move, and shopnbc is selling their electronics. There is the shopnbc guy with his earpiece and obnoxious self, and the vizio spokeswoman. Now, I am not going to act like I am a wiz on HDTVs because I am brainless on a lot of areas of them, but this guy is an absolute idiot. They are selling a Vizio 42" LCD 1080p tv, and the vizio spokeswoman is being real modest and pointing out the tv and just doing her job for the most part, and then the shopnbc idiot breaks in all the time talking about his "personal experience" with his HDTV, which is hilarious because you can tell he is lying like no other. He broke in on the woman while she was pointing out some useful input, and he breaks in basically thrashing "people who think 720p is hi def when it really isn't"....the woman then goes off and tells him that it is and just that 1080p is a higher resolution hi def. He sounds like a 10 year old that can't shut the hell up and he has nothing that has any benefit to the program. They would be in such a better position to gain sales if they just kept the woman on. He also keeps lying through his teeth screaming "WOW!" and talking about how the vizio is "best tv on the market today"....please. It's a good value, but no where near the best. I am sitting here really enjoying his stupidity.

By the way, I do have a 50 inch VIZIO plasma. It is a great TV at a great price at Sam's

oh i don't doubt it isn't a great tv. I am assuming you have the 720p version, but even though vizio has an outstanding bang for your buck and is a great value, it still doesn't hold a candle to the blacks or color accuracy as pioneer, panny, or samsung plasmas. however, I won't disagree with your purchase....for the money you save, and the good customer reliability ratings, vizio is a very good buy. I am currently leaning towards a rear projection sony SXRD 2000/2020 series rear projection set seeing as they are going for such a good price.

I think DirecTV is the best bang for your tv buck!
The picture will make any tv look like a million bucks.

And as for obnoxious salesman;
I have found Toyota and Honda car salesman to be complete asses too many times! I refuse to put up with any salesman who acts like an ass!
And I encourage people to take their money elsewhere!

I just installed a 52" Sharp 1080i LCD and haven't really taken advantage of the HD signals yet. Any suggestions on whether to go with cable or satellite? I'm thinking football here, don't know if the Big Ten network is coming to T-Town though.

I believe there has been some discussion on DirecTV and Dish.
Most agree it's a better deal than cable. Better picture. Usually cheaper.
I have had DirecTV for years and love the picture and price.

Get DirecTV (I don't know about Dish) and if you get the upgraded sports package, you'll be able to get the Big Ten network.....
