No love for Hilliard Davidson.

They lost to Brother Rice in the Silverdome to start the year

Since then

56-6 win over Northland
34-0 win at Mifflin
41-0 win over Central Crossing
And Upper Arlington coming up this week.

I think that is your answer right there...wins over Northland, Mifflin, and Central Crossing probably isn't impressing too many people.

mili, you went to Fitch!? nice. i was just down the road at salem

is there, perhaps, another Fitch in Ohio? they may be trying to distinguish it, although i don't know why they'd use Y'town instead of Austintown

Yep, sure did...graduated in 1975. Even if there were another Fitch HS in Ohio, the name Austintown Fitch should be enough to distinguish itself from any other Fitch, or so it would seem...

I've never understood that either, Mili. I mean, Austintown is a distinct city from Youngstown. "Fitch" is the school, "Austintown" is the city. The repetitive "town" makes it even more ridiculous.

"Austintown Fitch" is more than enough to differentiate it from any schools with similar names.

They do the same thing with "Youngstown Boardman", not that I give a shit about Boardman, though... :)

Considering that in the Northland and Central Crossing games, the second string was playing in the second quarter, I'd say Davidson is stronger than people think. Haywood and Young are just running roughshod over everybody and Zach is playing very well. The defense is playing very sound, intelligent football.

Davidson is better than people think.
