How's the weather?

Big dilemma.. major meeting in Tampa M/T but 3 diff weather sites say 6 inches, 10 inches and 17 inches.. plus ice on top.. for this area
so they have no clue yet.. too volatile
I'll never get to the airport... but if I did, Newark has delays when it's sunny.. I could be stranded there for hours to the entire day.. then cancellations
Not the least of concerns is how will my family deal with this monster.. driveway and the pups gotta be able to get outside.. if I'm not here..
Now they're saying better make sure the generators are working cuz power is going down...
And I really need to be at this meeting.. totally screwed... video participation not an option...

are you accounting for Tampa being below 50 and the entire city shutting down... maybe even the state? you know the southerns can't handle the cold

Would have been nice if they could have let you fly out today. I hate being away from the house/family but traveling is stressful enough before throwing the weather/idiots out in the weather.

Buddy of mine that I played ball with lives in Texas with his wife & kids. Said they're expecting 1/2in sheet of ice covering everything and half the place is shutting down.


As for us? 8 degrees as of an hour ago at the last glimpse of sunlight. Set to be 0 overnight and, given NEO, anywhere from 4in to 3ft of snow.

I can deal with the cold. When you mix in tons of accumulation with it, shit starts getting dangerous. Especially for us Hospital (clinical & non clinical) folks.

Few hours south east of me is 1 inch of ice I feel bad for those people.

Here is suposed to be potentially the most significant storm since 1997. NWA woo hoo

These are the days I do NOT miss my wife having to work the floors. At her first job out of school she had to basically be the hospital shuttle to pick up coworkers to get to work as she was the only one with AWD back then.
