the article says that we're barely getting below 100 at night and that's just not true, I just snapped this

I can remember back in 1996 to be exact, I was at my father's place in western AZ and we were on the front porch at 10pm and his yard thermometer read 110. Yes it's hot, this is the low laying desert and we kind of have a history of being hot, sometimes for long stretches. What the article fails to mention too is how mild and wet the last two summers were.

My sister-in-law reported her flip flops were melting as she crossed the store parking lot in Phoenix the other day. I'll leave living on the face of the sun to others;-)
for the record I've been here 26 years and have never had any shoes, sandals or flip flops melt
