and again.

Yeah, luckily that hit after sunset mostly (sorry if anyone got really whacked with it before that) and ran out of energy... mostly just rained a little on the N. Side of the 'Bus with some good lightning...

Finally got the power back on this am from the 29th storm... which is good, I'm sick of generator babysitting and foraging for ice/gas/LP.

This is my 3rd 6+ day outage since (and including) Ike. Of course the last one was in the winter... so, I put in a woodburner (for fun and heat) that doesn't help much when its 98, though.

Guess I need a real generator... might even kick around a Nat Gas one... (Though I did borrow a 5500 watt one on Monday to replace my little one) Wasn't too bad... fuel consumption about 8 or 9 gals a day if you don't push it too hard... no AC though... full suckage. I don't mind this crap for about 3 days but, after that it sucks. At least 3 of the 6 (if we count last night and the end of friday as one) were weekends/holidays... and well, was gonna work from home the other 2, but, off days are a bit easier, more time to deal with the BS. (Plus the 30th I said eff it and drove up to the Lake)

Thunderstorm went thru the area last night, Holland, Springfield, Sylvania, and west side of Toledo took a whuppin'. many, many trees down, and some snapped off right at ground level.
Took the missus 1 1/2 hours to drive ten miles home afterwards.

Projected another 100 degree day today so we might have more of these storms.

Might actually get my lawn mowed this evening after work. The amount of rainfall we had the past two days down here was incredible. I have a 9000 gal pool when filled correctly leaves about a 6-7 inch gap from water surface to the top of the pool's edge. My pool started overflowing on Monday, and yesterday's deluge probably knocked out the rest of the chemicals so I will have to shock and stabilize now.

Oh well, we needed the rain something fierce.
