How to spot a bandwagon Buckeye fan?

Wanna be Buckeye Fans go to the Buckeye Corner and never buy nothing

Or dress head to toe in Buckeye clothing that's less than a year old.

Worship the football team but hate the university

Harass visiting fans of other teams (psychological need to overcompensate in grotesque ways to "prove" their Buckeyeness)

They are jealous to the point of rage of USC's and LSU's recruiting classes on signing day...
They don't know who Doug Etzler or Velimir Radinovic are.....
They want at least one assistant coach to be publically drawn and quartered after every loss...

I have always thought that the bandwagon Buckeye fan only roots for the football team.

and the men's basketball team in certain years, but take absolutely no notice of, much less pleasure in, a national championship in an Olympic sport.

Can name the 3rd string, weak side linebacker on this year's football team but can't name a single Olympic medalist from Ohio State.

They don't know why we have a Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium

They wonder who Jack Nicklaus is and why they built him a museum

They can't tell you what they were doing January 3, 2003

They watched "The Rivalry" and didn't get choked up at least once

They look at you like you have two heads when you say Skull Session

They don't know the response to O-H

And call for the firing and question an outstanding coach. He'll miss a call once in a while (the timeout call against Illinois) but I'll live with the rare mistake for all the good decisions he makes.

:oh:

Or, worse from my perspective, call for the firing of the university president because they don't like the football coach: see numerous letters to the Dispatch sports editor in the 90s.
