Not so fast my friend, my best friend in high school had two parents (yes, 2, can you believe it?) that were each 5'6". He was 6'8", 300 lbs. Do you believe in miracles?

My fiance is 6' and her brother is 6'6". Both of their parents are < 5'10". My family is a little more normal. My dad is just a shade taller than I am, but my mom is only 5'8". IMO 5'10-11" in a girl is equal to 6'5" in a guy so I should be a little shorter than my dad. Both of my dad's brothers are closer to 6' so he likes to use the milkman joke, the poor mailman was 6' and bald though. :p
My wedding party will be something to see: 6'5" 5'9" 5'8" 6'6" 6'10" I don't know where my 6'10" buddy came from unless his mom partied with the Cavs one night 20 some years ago.

5'9" - I was a late bloomer. In fact, I'm still waiting.......

Luckily for Nightmare, he takes after his mother's side of the family, where the men are tall (in fact, he looks extremely like her dad, who was 6'3")
Also lucky for him, he has my hand/eye coordination.
My side of the family is full of very good athletes, but they were all relatively small.

I'm 5'10" and felt rather short a few weeks back. I was at a meeting and had to present some information. I stood up in between two guys who were also presenting some information. The short guy was about 6'5". The other guy was at least 6'7". I told them afterwards any future presentations would involve us all being seated.

I did have a guy in my office this past week who had to duck when he was coming in through the doorway. He was at least 6'8".

I imagine we have fairly similar dimensions then. I'm also 5'11"ish (5'10.5") and while I don't know what my actual wingspan is, the long sleeve shirts I wear usually have 34/35" sleeves. All I know is I was always really good at the bear crawl races during gym class and sports practices. :)
