In as much as the the Super Bowl represents winning the NFL championship, especially now that the AFL is no longer a competing league, I resent the hell out of the implication that the Browns have never been NFL Champs...

So to answer your question I was seven in September of 1950 when the Cleveland Browns, 1949 champions of the AAFC, defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 1949 champions of the NFL. The Browns then went on to win the 1950 NFL championship outright.

What further pisses me off is that though the NFL accepted the career marks for players from the AFL, they did not accept the records for players who played in the AAFC. Lou Groza would be much higher in the all time scoring standings if his AAFC record had been added to his NFL totals.
