How much pop you drink a day?

The vast majority of what I drink is water. I only have "pop", a term never used out here, but I wish it were part of the local vernacular, when I am celebrating, or it comes with some fast food meal, which I only have once or twice a month.

Only when I'm eating non-Wendy's fast food (I normally get a Frosty at Wendy's) or when I was in Iraq. I didn't want to mess with the bottled water they had over there, so I drank Coke or Beer almost exclusively until about August of 2004, when they finally started carrying the Gatorade drink mix in the PX. Then I drank Gatorade/water or beer the rest of the year.

I'll have one every now and again (especially if I'm out of Guinness to drink when watching football), but that's about it.

I can easily go through a 12 pack of Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi in 2 days.
Same weakness here... partially driven by really bad well water at home (where I usually work), which can't really be filtered by Brita. Need to pick up the jugs of water from the store. Grew up on well water, but spent the 9 years on city water and can't go back.

I've also heard that diet pop can increase hunger... going to try knocking it out to see if that helps with the one-pack.

Stopped drinking pop/soda/carbonated beverages 4 or 5 years ago, haven't looked back since. Weigh out 31 grams of sugar on a scale and see how long you can keep eating that with a spoon - that's what's going into your body. Nowadays it's only purpose is to dilute my liquor.

Mine is all diet... but you could make a similar comparison to downing endless spoonfuls of weird chemicals, probably not good.

Me too, can't stand regular soda. I also can't stand drinking water, for whatever reason. It literally makes me nauseated to drink plain water. I think it is just my body's way of rejecting anything healthy. :( I also need the caffeine intake, I am totally hooked on caffeine. I hear about the aspartame stories all the time, how they cause cancer in lab rats, thank God I am not a rat.

Just as a quick comment on this... these are fun little toys... but... speaking for Sodaclub as a company... they are a pain in the ass to deal with... not going to get into specifics... but... I'd check out customer feedback for the other one...

And... if you poke around on the soda club site, you find the ultimate slap at them... I'm an authorized dealer... keep trying to get rid of that crap, but sold too many machines to customers who buy other things from me that I have to keep getting the replacement CO2 for them (the cannisters are proprietary and you have to turn them in like LP gas for you grill).... annoying as hell... Anyway... the machines themselves do work well... and... generally the "syrups" are healthier than commmercial soda... (At least they have less sodium and sugar). I have one... but... usually only use it to make carbonated water.

For those of you that are really into cool old fasioned stuff... Root Beer, Ginger Beer, that kind of thing... you can make it yourself... naturally carbonated (Like you would make homebrew beer)... takes a week or two and a bit of practice... but... lots of neat recipes out there, and, its not hard to do at all if you save beer bottles, and buy $20-$30 dollars worth of equipment.

And where might we buy that equipment, AKAK? :p

 Your local wine/homebrew supply shop would be a good bet.:wink2:

(I'm really not trying to pimp, just couldn't pass up the opportunity to diss Sodaclub.)
