How many tOSU goals in first 2 games vs BG? (read post #1)

They really could have saved some of those goals from last night for next week and it also would have given me a little vcash:)

There was a big fight in the middle of the game. A couple of guys are going to miss the first game in Alaska next week as a consequence

That is just not very smart hockey. Sometimes you just have to learn to turn your cheek especially when you know that you could miss some games the following weekend. The players from BG had nothing to lose.

From reading the post-game reports, the tOSU version is that a BG cheap shot away from the puck resulted in a concussion for captain Peter Boyd. When Boyd was coming off the ice, the BG goalie skated over near the tOSU bench, words were exchanged, and then the BG goalie hit Pelletier's leg with his stick. At that point, in hockey you can't really turn the other cheek, it's on.

Hopefully the team unity that comes out of something like that more than makes up for the loss of Pelletier for 1 game and Boots for 2 games (since it was his second suspension, he gets the extra game).

The game proved costly for the No. 14 Buckeyes (22-12-4). Sophomore captain Peter Boyd, who had six points (4-2) in the previous two games, was checked hard to the ice away from the play almost 14 minutes into the second period with the Buckeyes up 4-1. OSU players accused James Perkins of a cheap shot and words were exchanged as Boyd was helped to the bench.​

Markell later said Boyd has a possible concussion.​

Shortly after play resumed BG goalie Jimmy Spratt skated toward the OSU bench and had words with Buckeye senior Zach Pelletier. That?s when Pratt ? who skipped the customary postgame handshake Friday ? took a chop at Pelletier?s legs with his stick. OSU?s Nick Biondo stepped in and players from both teams joined.​

It wasn?t long before everybody was on the ice although there were a few actual fights at any one time. Biondo and Nick Bailen went at it for several minutes but neither received penalties and all Spratt got was a minor for delay of game.

It's comical that BG's coach Paluch after the game complained about BG getting 3 players kicked out to tOSU's 2, stating that "it started by their bench." Yeah, assclown, it started over there because your goaile skated over there and then hit a Buckeye with his stick.​

As Markell said after the game, "You gotta defend yourself."​
