BFS - NO problem-o

It's all good. It's not really about I win/ you win.... at least not from my angle anyway. After all they are all "predictions and opinions".

I just think that based on an entire year of performance...yes I know he didn't play half the year.... that 4 TD's would be one heck of an accomplishment.

I think Zwick has too many things going against him at this point - biggest one to me is rust. Another is probably confidence, or lack thereof. Another may be Tressel's decision to play ball control and try not to have Zwick beat us since he IS rusty?! who knows. I also think the OK St. has a decent run game and can and probably will pounds as on the ground. I think we will do a decent job of stopping them, but you generally don't "shut down" a 1,400 yard rusher.

I have been saying here at work for some time that even before Smith's injury, I didn't think the job should be locked up going in to next year. I think Smith had to show well in the bowl game to "lock it up" but now he won't have that chance. Everyone points to the scUM game and says, dude you are crazy! Did you see what he did to them. Uh, yes....yes I did. But it still is one game and if you go back over a whole season of what Smith did (yes I know HE too didn't play all year), his performances weren't anything to write home about. I would give him a "fair" up to the scUM game. Nothing overwhelmed me and that is why I though the competition based on this bowl game could be wide open going into spring. The smith suspension puts everything in a cloudy mess for now though.

I have nothing against/for either one. I hope whoever is taking snaps succeeds and leads our team to victory!

I hope for 4 TD's from Zwick...heck I'd take 5. I generally tend to be more of a "realist" when it comes to some things buckeye. If a player has never run for a 100 in a game, then I tend to think he won't in the next game. Simple stuff like that. If you have played 3 years and have been average - I tend to think your last year will be average.

I always hope for the best and this year, regardless of my blabbering on, I still think the Bucks win. I have 750 vcash on it as well!!!!

oh yeah - and take NIU in the bowl!!!!!

I think Zwick could throw 4, but the more I consider it the more I realize Tressel won't let him. If this were Zwick's 12th game this season, I think he'd let him open up and fire a lot more. But since it's basically the first game of the season again for Zwick, he probably will abuse OkState's line.

I'm sure Morency will do some good things against us, however I still think we will win the battle up front and hold him to 28 carries and 89 yards with 1-2 tds. They are gonna have to force turnovers or challenge our dbs thru the air (a challenge I like).

How great would it be for tOSU to be leading by two tds most of the game, then have oOSU come roaring back and tie it or even take a couple pt lead (like MSU). Have only seconds left, get a play off to Ginn who takes it to the 50 yard line. We call a timeout, lineup Nugent, and he kicks a 60 yarder to win the game and closeout the greatest PK career in OSU history.

Speaking of crack, I just put the pipe down, so I'm going with five TD passes by Zwick...that's right, five. My reasoning is that Zwick will be out to show what he can do and that he should be the starter...he'll try to take every advantage of this chance he's getting. Also, I think Tressel will let him air it out, not only to give Zwick a chance to show what he can do, but also to send a subliminal message to Troy Smith that Smith will really have to bust his ass and clean up his act to regain the starting slot. If the OL gives Zwick time, and Zwick passes like he did the first half of the Marshall game, it'll be like shooting fish in a barrel, with Holmes, Ginn, Gonzalez, Hall, and Lyons.

On a side note, did anyone else notice that on the third-and-goal play on our second goal line drive against Michigan, Lyons was open in the far right front of the end zone, three feet in front of his man, and yet Smith ran?

I think Tressel can call a game that puts up a lot of points. The question is, how many points can the Cowboys score on us. I think they will score at least 21: first possesion of each half and a touchdown at the end. That means we will score at least 28 points. I think we get one rushing, two passing and a return for a touchdown. So my thought is two passing touchdowns.

60 yard slant to Ginn

30 yard to Ginn

20 yard Holmes

I really think he is going to play well enough to create a QB controversy and then Boeckman is going to be lights out in the spring. I hope so it would make it real interesting as each has his strong points.

Well I did see it. I couldn't believe he ran. Hey wait a minute I just agreed with you, OK what the hell pass the crack here too.

Looks like I was spot on with my 1 TD prediction.

I'd say if he wasn't injured - he may have gotten one more. who knows.

The problem I have with Zwick is that he never seems to throw a tight spiral. Obviously as long as he throws it and they catch it - that is really all that matters. But his lone TD throw was a great grab by gonzalez and some of his others were flutter balls.

I recall someone else saying stuff about this earlier...I wonder if this will continue? I wonder if it even matters to him? eh... WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!
