Hmmm... well... first of all, I'm not much of a shoe girl. Not really a clothes girl either. In fact, I kind of hate shopping. If I had unlimited money, I suppose I'd probably get into it, but as it is, I have to prioritize my spending, and shoes are pretty low on the list. I pretty much don't buy any unless they're replacing a pair that is falling apart.

So... for fall/winter, I most commonly wear black ankle length boots with work clothes or black Skechers with jeans, and occasionally I'll wear black loafers, with black or brown calf-length boots thrown in now and then if I'm wearing a skirt.

I have two pairs of sandals I wear in the summer - one a more casual, walking style, and the other a bit more dressy for work.

I have a few pairs of high heels - two black and one brown, but those rarely come out of the closet, as I have little need to dress up, and I haven't purchased a pair for probably five years.

As for activity/situation-specific shoes, I have two pairs of tennis shoes - one reserved for actual tennis courts, and the other for any other various activities. I have a pair of hiking boots, a pair of winter/snow boots and a pair of ski boots. Somewhere in the back of my closet, I also have a pair of basketball shoes and a pair of cleats (the softball kind, not the golf kind). In other random footwear, I have a pair of Keds that look like baseballs and a beat up pair of Chucks, both of which I've owned for over ten years.

So, I guess I own around nineteen pairs of shoes/boots, but regularly wear only about five.

There, Donny - was that serious enough for you?

Edit - Oh... just remembered I have a pair of white heels somewhere, too, but I wore them only once.

I have summer and winter shoes.
Merrill trailrunners for winter. Merrill running shoes for summer.
Around the house, I like to go naked.....er....barefoot. :tongue2:
My house is completely saltillo tile(mexican tile) and the heating system is in the floor so in winter it's nice and warm! Summer time nice and cool.
I do have a small collection of older not used, shoes. Hiking boots, dress shoes, work boots.
Generally, I don't "collect" clothes/shoes.

I have many pairs of shoes. I most commonly switch between my 2 pairs of old school New Balances. I also wear mocassins around the house. Sandals are worn the most during the summer but wouldnt work too well right now. I also have shoes for going out and dressing up.

I was being facetious when I asked the question, but nice reply.

Awsome post, donny, but I feel that I need to bring to your attention that you may have mispelled the word "facetious"? That is O.K. I will be here when you forget to hit spellcheck

Awwh, the dreaded spelling "Nazi." I knew I should have hit the spellcheck button.:)

"Facetious" and "plethora" are two words people use that I hate.

They try to make themselves sound "educated" by using such words.

If you want recognized, try plugging "antidisestablishmentarianism" into a discussion.

Do I get greenies if I know "anitdisestablishmentarianism" is the longest word in the traditional dictionary that basically means against those that are against the establishment?
