In the sentence "My car needs fixed," the verb is "needs." What follows must be in object form, and should therefore be a noun. You should use the infinitive or gerund (or other nominalization), i.e. "My car needs to be fixed" or "My car needs fixing."

Your sentence should really read "If you want to be recognized..." or "If you want recognition..."

Depends on what you mean by "shoes".

I have a pair of Reebok basketball shoes that I always wear.

I also have a pair of football cleats. For football of course.

So I guess 2 pairs of shoes.
