We don't have a creek, we have a crick.Weedeater for the creek bank and edging the driveway & sidewalk. I let Dry use the sprays.
Haven't you lived in Ohi-ya long enough to know this by now?

DJ, you do realize that a "weed eater" is a brand name of string trimmer don't you?
The purpose of a string trimmer is to edge grass where the mower can't get to, I would explain for you "Trimmin' up aroun' the cinder blocks holdin that Ford up in the front yard".
Herbicide (that would be "spray for weeds") is used to kill weeds, generally in a "broadleaf" type of sense, meaning that is doesn't hurt the grass. You would use this to "kill down some of them thissles out yonder by the still".
Got it?
Glad to help!
To suggest that a weed eater is a brand is like saying that coke is a brand, that is obvious. The term has been so frequently used that it has taken a meaning of it's own other than just being a brand name.
I do not own a Ford.
Your understanding of herbicides is somewhat weak. A herbicide such as MSMA, is designed to kill only broad leaf, however, Roundup is designed to kill weeds and grass, essentially anything that it comes in contact with. Certain grasses, such as cocoa grass (nut grass) does not react very well to anything.
Now for the still, what? I really don't know where you were heading with that one, whatever.
"Glad to help," if you mean that you were glad to help you own esteem by your ridiculous generalizations about someone from the South, no big deal. I find it amusing most of the time. When people stereotype the South in a way that portrays southerners as backwards, it says more about their own lack of knowledge about the South than the way we actually live.
I am glad we could have this little chat.
