How Many Hope Wisconsin Goes Undefeated?

BuckeyTrail, I just want to make sure I understand you correctly and am not reading anything into your post. You hate Oklahoma? :biggrin:

I for one would like to see Wisconsin go undefeated and play in the Rose Bowl against either Auburn or USC. Although I agree that the Wisconsin fans are major assholes, I really like the University itself. I've been to Madison three times and feel that the campus and State Street is the best college environment in the country. Plus, the academic reputation of the school is very impressive.

To Quote Mili:

The only reason I want those goat-fuckin' cheese-dicks to run the rest of the conference table is to eliminate any possibility of Michigan having the title outright.
===========================================================
Add to which the only other good reason for those disrespectful dispshits to go undefeated is to totally screw up the end of year standings.

Dream Ending - They end up playing Utah in Pasadena and get totally humiliated by Meyer's offensive schemes.

I just cant root for them to win it.
If they won out, and won a NC, they would think they are a top-tier program.
While they have a good program, its not top tier, and I wouldnt want them having illusions of granduer.
Plus, Wisky will still go to the Rose Bowl if both them and scUM (after the loss to us) tie, since scUM was in the RB just last year.

I'd like to see it happen. 1 loss Cal jumped above Wisky this week in one poll. This is after FSU, who was ahead of Wisky, finally lost a 2nd game to drop them down. At first I was outraged. How can an undefeated Big 10 school be getting no love? So I looked at who they have played. Wisconsin has played by far the easiest schedule in the Big 10, and maybe out of all BCS schools. The OOC opponents they played now have a total record of 3-21. The best of which being 2-6 UNLV. They have also played what has turned out to be the weaker Big 10 teams as of now. The only teams with winning records they have played are Purdue, and Ohio State...both of which were ranked at the time, but both are now out of the rankings. They did play both of those games on the road...so those are decent wins. But thier last 3 games...MSU, Minnesota, and Iowa...look like the 3 toughest games of the season for them. And only one of those teams is ranked at #20, Iowa. I think you could even make a case for Utah being ranked ahead of Wisconsin. Utah played both Arizona and UNLV, like Wisconsin...and Utah destroyed both those teams that Wisconsin struggled with. But wins are wins, so you could call the teams even there. But what impresses me about Utah is their win over a Texas A&M team...which, besides last weeks loss to Baylor...has looked very impressive. I would like to see Wisconsin play a top 10 team, but with scUM off their schedule...that isn't going to happen until their bowl game. I think Wisconsin's defense and running game is good enough for them to beat anybody in the country...but they haven't beaten the best yet...so I would have to say they are rightly ranked where they are...and maybe even lucky Utah isn't ahead of them. Even if Wisconsin wins out...I don't think, with the schedule they will have played, they deserve the Orange Bowl over an undefeated Auburn, Oklahoma or USC. I would take them over a one loss Cal though, just because Cal already got their shot against USC. The BCS might disagree though. Wisconsin is just unlucky because of how bad a schedule they have this year.

I want Wisky to win out. I think that OSU has a shot at a New Years day bowl if Wisky goes to the NC game, scUM goes to the Rose Bowl and we win out. Here is the Big 10 standings to date.

Iowa lost two more running backs this weekend so they are really hurting. They could easily loose two games. We play MSU and get a chance to beat them. NW can alway loose a game. The real question is if the Capital One bowl has to pick NW or Iowa because of the head to head tie breaker or can the opt for more money and better fans with OSU.

Still looking for a New Years day bowl,

I'm pretty sure the Captial One Bowl could opt to take whoever they wanted. The head to head is only about the Rose Bowl I think. If two Big 10 schools go to BCS bowls, and we win out...I think we would see a new years day bowl. But if we win out, scUM will have 2 losses. I don't know that a 2 loss scUM would get a BCS Bowl. Especially if another Big 10 team is already in the NC. I really think the only way both scUM and Wisconsin get BCS bowls is if they both win out. So I think Ohio State's shot at a new year's day bowl is over. But I don't care...let's win these 3 anyway. I want a scUM win so bad!!! If we beat scUM and go 8-3 this year, we might go to a very winable bowl...and a 9-3 season with a bowl win and a scUM win would be a VERY sucessful season for a very young team. It's going to take a lot for Ohio State to win out...but happenings with MSU and Purdue are making it look a lot easier than it did 2 weeks ago. LETS GO BUCKS!!!!

Here is a shocker.... who at the begining of the season thought Northwestern would have a very realistic shot at going 7-5? They have remaining-- PSU, Michigan, Illinois and Hawaii.

Iowa could win out... they have a tough close to the season as the host Wisconsin though.
