How Many Here Have Friday Off?

A question: How many have the Friday after Thanksgiving off of work?

Also, do you consider this upcoming weekend a "holiday weekend"?

I'm asking because I am having a bit of a disagreement with a client as to whether this should be considered a holiday weekend or not.

We're off on Friday.
At least down in this part of Louisiana, we consider it a Holiday weekend, with Thanksgiving being one of the BIG Holidays for us.

One of the things that pisses me off about retirement is that I don't get to fully enjoy my Friday off. It's just like every other day.

Yes for this Friday, no for the Fridays after Christmas and New Years.

Apparently, paying salaried people to come to work on those days and be entirely non-productive is cheaper than paying them to stay at home and be equally non-productive. Bitches.

in Health care there is no such thing as a day off... seniority however allows you to have the day off, I will not be working Thursday or Friday...

The owner of my company is a pretty spiritual guy -so we get good friday off too!
