Wtf?! Pretty sure there's a thread here discussing this very subject. If you're gonna do it, why not get it done when March Madness starts? Or the beginning of CFB season? You get to get all hopped up on pain killers, drink booze, and if your wife is legit, you'll have sandwiches and beer on demand.

Been with my wife since 2005. Been married since 2008. And I have two beautiful daughters. Two kids are enough for us. Here in the next month or two, I'm going to get fixed to where I can't have any more kids. What was your experience like with getting snipped?
Have it done just before Bowl Week. Beer, relaxing and sitting on a frozen bag of peas while watching football.

I was married for a litte over two years, we had been together for over 7 though. In retrospect, my relationship with my ex wife was oddly similar to a road trip a buddy and I took from Ohio to Colorado and then on up to Alaska via the Alaska-Canada highway in January, which is actually great story in and of itself. However, to make a long story short, It started off with a lot of laughs and good times. As the journey progressed, we encountered a lot of obstacles and were surprised at how much of a challenge it was. About half way through, we both began to wonder if we were making a grave mistake. The latter part of the journey was the most harrowing, and near the end we were both looking at each other thinking, "if we get stranded out here, I'm going to kill you and eat you."

When did you know it was over?

The day that I drew up the papers. Not a moment before. There is always hope...until there isn't. Unless, of course you meant the Al-Can trip. We finally made it to my buddies brother's house early in the morning. Woke him and his pitbull-mastiff dog up, drank some craft beer, smoked a joint and played some Soul Caliber on the Dreamcast if I recall correctly. Woke up the next day and got a job. So, y'know, life goes on.

I put my foot down after two.. until the 2nd got onto the bus to go to 1st grade
Then the chief (not me) instantly and maniacally said we were having a third
to which I vehemently protested
and now I sincerely regret not having a 4th

Decision has been made. Wife got really sick in the hospital and realize have two kids 18 months apart sucks. I'm done with the baby making days of my life. And trust me, I've went over it in my head. But, we feel we are happy with two kids.

The valium and lithium were wonderful, except that I became a Chatty Cathy about 20 minutes into it, so my wife drove me to the doctor and I was just high as a kite telling her how much I loved her, unicorns, and rainbows. Wore off about 2 hours later and life was business as usual. It's really not a big deal. You'll be back to normal in about 4 or 6 hours quite honestly.

It's not a such a big deal now since I saw the pros and cons. My wife refuses to get her tubss tied since she had two c sections.
