Why is it that some people can't just give you a simple answer?

I call one of my employees to ask about an item that was posted to the wrong account. My direct request was "Please tell me what account this $ amount was supposed be posted against." I just now got off a 15 minute phone call where I was transferred between 2 people who were both trying to explain to me how the $ amount got into the wrong account, all the while I kept saying "I don't care how it got there, where do I need to move it" to finally getting a bit nasty saying "You have now just wasted 20 minutes of my time in order to tell me what should have taken you 5 seconds" and hung up.

Feeling good. A negative person who causes lots of stress through lies, gossip and mind games is transferring out. This will help out morale a lot. She's one of those people whom no matter how much you talk to her, discipline her, make up with her...etc is just a miserable human being that loves seeing everyone at each others throats. Never in my life have I been so happy about getting rid of someone. She's been with the company for a long time and does her job well, just a fucking cancer. God help the people where ever it is she's going.

I didn't know you worked at my office! I call her Xena as in princess warrior. Stirs up trouble, throws folks under the bus, and then rides in on her white horse to save the day...good riddance!

So one of the guys at work asked me if I could help out with a project today, because he is so totally swamped. He said he would write stuff up and send it to me on what he needed help with. So he sends over the stuff and I am looking at it and thinking are you fucking kidding me, instead of taking the time to write everything up you could have just done the work. Seriously WTF is wrong with people.

so fucking pissed/depressed right now

I currently work at a tennis club at a resort, been there for the past 2 years. My manager recently took a new job, so I applied for the opening. All i heard from her as well as the hiring manager (the tennis director) is how good I would be at it, how great I am at what I do, etc. Well, I get a call from HR today saying they can't even consider me for the job because I don't meet their ridiculous qualifications. Nevermind that I have been doing about 50% of the manager's job the past month, and I know almost everything that needs to be known in doing that job.

I don't know what I'm going to do with my life
