This is difficult call. As a true freshman in 2012, Thomas caught only 3 passes for 22 yards, and then he red-shirted in 2013. After two years in the program, Thomas looked like a bust, but then in 2014 he became the Buckeyes' second option in the passing game (to Devin Smith) with 54 receptions for 799 yards and 9 TDs. Thomas posted almost identical numbers as a junior in 2015, with 56 receptions for 781 yards and 9 TDs. Thomas was underused in Ohio State's ground-oriented offense but still managed to accumulate almost 1,600 yards (56.4 ypg) in his final two seasons. Thomas bypassed his senior season and entered the 2016 NFL Draft.

Really more of an eyeball test than numbers considering he had basically 2 productive years in a run heavy offense.

I'd put him in the SanAntonio Holmes class of NFL ready route runner and body control.

You almost have to take the "who would I pick over him?" approach.

I go in tiers with WR's (no order in anything past tier I):

Tier I: Carter and Boston

Tier II: Holmes, Galloway, Glenn, TG2, and Jenkins

Tier III: Donley, Devin Smith, Anthony Gonzales, Gary Williams, Mike Thomas and probably some I haven't named

I would have him right around Ted Ginn, not as fast but boy does he have some slick moves. I wonder had he stayed would he be # 1. I may be wrong but wasn't he in Urbans dog house for awhile in 2012. I watched the Wisconsin game and was it he who put a late hit on a player and urban yanked him out of that game real quick. Looks like urban was really pissed at the time. Just sayin.

Top ten WR in my eyes. Frustrating that he was so underutilized this year, but still had some big plays.

Not the fastest WR but great size and body control. Made most of the catches asked of him. I'd have him behind Boston, Carter, Jenkins, Glenn, Holmes, Williams, Smith, and Galloway.

I'd agree with this. Thomas was better than what his numbers indicate, but it's still hard to put him in the same class as Tier 2 without further evidence in a Buckeye uniform. With that said, I think it's very possible that he has a better pro career than some of those Tier 2 guys.

Only thing I'd disagree with is having Devin Smith in Tier III. He's #2 all-time in TD catches at Ohio State and averaged something like 37 yards per TD catch. I'd put him in your Tier II...

Yeah, I could see that. There are a lot of good arguments to be made in this department.

Only certainty in my mind is Carter & Boston as Tier I when it comes to ranking all time OSU WR's.

I think that my top 6 would match most Buckeye fans' top 6. After that, it gets pretty difficult to rank these guys.

Graham is very underrated. He also had an excellent pro career (11 seasons, 542 receptions, 8,172 yards, 30 TDs).

I know that he is old school but hard to believe that you left "white lightning", Doug Donley, out of your top 10.
