Out at a restaurant, I tend to stick with medium to cover for all possible faults of bad cook, poor meat, etc.

At home, I go for medium rare or rare depending on the cut of the meat but it has to be warm all the way through, I can't do cold in the middle. I like the hot blood for my potatoes, as someone else mentioned earlier in the thread. I totally grossed out the hubby the first few times we made steak at home by drinking the rest of the blood on my plate after I had finished the steak and potatoes.



I have been known to go for a little raw beef, now and again. Which generally freaks people out.

I've never had anything less than medium-well.. apparently I'm missing out.
