How many of you are interested in getting basketball tickets and sitting together as a BP group? We can either order them individually, requesting seating in the 'Buckeye Planet Group', or we can have individuals get them in sets of up to 8 each. I'd be willing to be responsible for a group of 8 tickets if people want to do it that way. But it would be for season tickets, I don't want to dole them out for every game individually.

Here's the list so far (only showing those looking for season tickets, for now) :

Basketball tickets go on sale today, July 1. Those buying season tickets for 2005-06 before Sept. 10 are guaranteed access to season tickets through 2008-09.

COLUMBUS -- Tickets to Ohio State men's basketball games will be available for purchase beginning today, said Richelle Simonson, OSU associate director of athletics.

Season ticket prices for all 17 home games range from $221 to $306. Packages bought before Sept. 10 will also guaranteed access to season tickets through the 2008-09 season).

Is there any way to order them in a group but have them go to individuals?

B/c it would be cool to have a few of us BPers order season tickets at the same time and possibly be seated next to one another. That would make it much more enjoyable to own an individual ticket.

However, I have no idea how this works.

Anyone else interested in this?

Tickets are gonna be hard to come by in the next few years...Luckily my dad has hung on to his season tickets through the down years.

My buddy was going to give his up three years ago and I talked him into selling them to me instead. He is an honorable man and has no plans to ask for them back.

I just talked to the ticket office. One person can buy a maximum of 8 season tickets. Right now the seat locations are undetermined. If you want to sit with a larger group than 8 people, you can tell them who else you want to sit with, (over the phone, or in the comments area if ordering online), and they'll try to seat you together. The ticket locations wouldn't be known until shortly before the season tickets are mailed out (all in one pack). I didn't get a mailing date for the season tickets, but I think it's just a few weeks before the season starts.

If I lived a little closer this would be great. As it is, I'd drive in (from NC) for a few games a year so if you guys buy group seats and someone can't make it I'm sure someone will buy them off you.... I know I will. Maybe that takes away some of the risk of dropping $300-600 for someone anyway.
