There is no actual set of choices from which the good one can be selected.

Parents should... be parents and not educators. They are not trained to educate and have to devote a huge amount of their time to just parenting.
Many have trouble just parenting.
Let parents teach moral values and educator's teach math and science.

We elect a government to, among other things, provide for the common defense. Citizens elected these leaders and can put them out of office if this does not work to their benefit.

Don't laugh this is where I derive an intelligent thought about anything. That or whatever I get kicked back to me from my employer or foreign governments.

Interesting concept, this Connections Academy. I have plenty of reading up to do on it to better understand it, but it seems like a pretty good alternative to sending your daughter off to the scabies, flu, lice and whooping cough infested public school buildings, that are more of a daycare than a school anymore.

That is definitely one enticement!!! LOL!

Interestingly enough, the vaccination list for Oregon grew this year to include chicken pox and one more hepatitus.
