There would be a wall separating bathroom and "new" bedroom. So her thought would be to add a door on that wall so that it is like a "master bathroom" but also has access from the hallway as well.

Whatever suits the both of you. My joke was based on what appears to be somewhat frivolous, but I'm not married to either of you. So, my opinion/perspective means precisely fuck-all.
