daV, thanks for the great tip! I use Photofiltre, which is free software, and they have a feature that allows you to "fit to page" when printing. It enlarges an image to the size of your print medium without much reduction in quality. Worked perfect!! Reps to you! :drunks:Now I can finally move on......

Wow that play will always be one of the most chilling moments in Buckeye Football history that ever went down to save a great season. Which one of us would think that the season of 2002 would be our most shining moment in Buckeye laurels. I was 28 years old when Ohio State had that undefeated season and went on to beat USC and O.J. for the National Championship. Alot of OSU football moments are in my mind since then and I started to wonder if we would ever get close to winning a N/C again. The 68 season was great but nothing compared to now.
I am fortunate to have the whole 2002 season in highlighted format VHS tape and I always go back to watch that whole season unfold before my eyes once more. But that Purdue game was a thriller all the way.

I am reading 'The Winner's Manuel' and in the discussion about 'discipline' JT talks about CK and specifically the game winning TD against Purdue.

Many of us have often wondered where in the hell that play call came from....turns out that play had a deep option..but that was not why the play was called.

I never paid any attention to the rest of the WRs over all these years of seeing that play because the camera stays on CK (probably waiting for him to hand the ball off...everyone was thinking run play) and then cuts down field to Jenkins. Welllll....we were three wide and the other two WRS stayed in the flat just past the first down markers. MJ goes deep to pull a safety out of the box...but instead Purdue blitzed so all the WRs were running in single coverage...but the two in the flat were blanketed. CK's third option is the RB who is supposed to swing out wide as a safety valve..but the back had to pick up a block. The pocket was collapsing...it was looking grim...then Jenkins got a step and threw his hand up to get CK"s attention....CK checked down his progression...then looked out and saw MJ waving his arm...and BOOOOOOM>......Holy Buckeye.

On the sideline JT's reaction was very much like the rest of us...we just needed a first down. So in the book he says his response to CK lofting it deep was "Oh no...no...no..no....YESSSSSSSS!"

He was right there with us in agony as CK went long.

I heard a sound bite about this a while ago where he said the same thing that that wasn't where the play was intended to go. I can't remember what it was that he said this on though.

Awhile back Craig came and spoke at a fundraiser in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. I remember him saying that when lining up for that play he saw they were going to play Jenkins man to man and he knew right then he would be open because "no one in college football could cover Jenkins one on one". Or something like that....I had alot of beverages that night.

Forth down, Krenzel was under a strong pass rush, he throws the ball over 42 yards in the air, and he makes a perfect pass hitting Jenkins on the run at the goal line.

You never get tired of seeing it. Basically THE PLAY saved Ohio State's perfect season and got the Buckeyes into the BCS Championship game. Holy Buckeye!!!

If I recall, Ben Hartsock was the first option just past the first down marker.

My recollection as well. (though, that's not worth much)

Don't forget the wind.

He's also the guy that was later quoted as saying he didn't realize it was 4th down.

Eh, what's the difference.:wink2:
