Nothing like putting out a movie to attack the right just before an election in an attempt to sway voters, huh?

It's been rumored for a while but now it's official: Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream) will direct a new installment of Robocop for MGM. David Self (Road to Perdition, Thirteen Days) will write the screenplay. It's a happy day for everyone who saw the original and thought, "I really like this, but I think it could use some split screens and gimmicky montage editing."
