Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!
I'm going to Hilton Head this summer for a wedding. The wedding is on Sunday so we plan on arriving on Friday then leaving on Tuesday. I know some of you have been there so I'm looking for tips on the housing(and anything else of concern). Is there anything I should be aware of? Especially since there is a huge gap in the housing prices.

I lived t15 minutes from HH last year. Ask what you like. As for the housing, all I can say is $$$. Do your best to tuck yourself away from the main drags as the traffic for as little an island as it is...can be nightmarish. Bluffton which is nearby is just off the island and may save you some cash as is Beaufort (an old southern belle type of town) has a few excellent bed & breakfasts right near the riverpark (water everywhere) if you'd be interested in that. Just a few pointers there. :)

Ok. That explains why this one's not in Romper Room.:(

I've think it's in there just use the search function..:p

Thanks Corner but I think we want to stay on the island. I seen that pretty much everything there is expensive as fuck especially if you want ocean front. What's a good community to stay in there that isn't completely wallet busting? I don't want to stay in a dump but it doesn't have to be the ritz either.

Find a place in Sea Pines if you can. Not Cheap but the nicest places we have been in down there have all been in there. Definitely play some golf, get drunk several times, and if you can find the right girl at the wedding do some motorboatin'...... you motorboatin' son-of-a-bitch.

I'll check it out we've been looking at palmetto dunes how's that?

I'll be drunk several times probably in the same day...:p I'm hopping that the current fling I'm in becomes more permanent and she'll go with me because the brides side if the family is mostly amish/menanite(sp?) I don't really find girls dressed less revealing than nuns attractive so if she doesn't go it's just more time to be intoxicated..

:slappy: Funniest thing I've read all day!

As for Hilton Head, it is a beautiful place IMHO. Sure, it's a bit pricey........but it's a tourist destination. What intrigues me the most is the fact that they haven't completely destroyed their trees in the process of building their city. Most buildings are tucked in quite nicely. It's a classy place.

If you find your way to Cologny plaza (I think that is how you spell it), check out a little hole in the wall bar called "The frosty frog". Good times to be had there my friend. :wink2:
