Updated question...

Well we found a house on the island not to lavish but it'll work. Here's the new question we want to book tee times before we go down there. The Groom is treating us to a round of golf on saturday but he'll be leaving monday morning for the honeymoon. We have the rest of the week and wanted to play again but since it's on my dime this time what's the best "bang for your buck" course there?

I'm going to Hilton Head this summer for a wedding. The wedding is on Sunday so we plan on arriving on Friday then leaving on Tuesday. I know some of you have been there so I'm looking for tips on the housing(and anything else of concern). Is there anything I should be aware of? Especially since there is a huge gap in the housing prices.
Some of us?

This is an Ohio State board populated by members mostly from Ohio. What Ohioan hasn't been to Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach? It's every Ohioans duty by birth to take a vacation to both.

They don't call it the Redneck Riviera for nuthin'.

Asking a Ohioan if they've been to Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head is about as dumb as asking them if they watch football. :tongue2:

Don't spoil it by trying to save money... splurge... have fun... stay wherever will be easiest... do whatever you want... HH is a great place... during the summer there are more people from Ohio in HH ... than will be back in Ohio...

Don't do the Arthur Hill course... waste of a lot of money... tough does not mean it has to be unfair...

Oyster Reef is a good course.. but IMO the best values are Indigo (my favorite) and HH National...

What you might want to consider is... getting there Thursday night... there's an inexpensive motel just when you get off the interstate to go to HH... stay there... and drive into HH first thing in the morning Friday... it'll add an entire day to your trip... you'll be able to enjoy ALL of Friday... instead of a half day or less if you hit the island mid-day Friday...

also, on the way in.. just after Blufton... stop at the welcome center... they'll have coupon books that can help big... especially golf...

From what I've seen, if you judge on a cost-per-swing Basis... there's really no going wrong for you.

Remember SandG... you're a volume shopper.
