In response to me asking "Is the cheerleader not the hottest thing you've ever seen on tv?" I received the below responces.

3) she is jailbate, one more year and then you're free to discuss. And the fact that you can even make that kind of statement when Ali-Holy Shit Hot!-Larter is already on the same show amazes me.

Hot cheerleader is JAILBATE.

If I asked "How many would screw the hell outa that?" then the above answers would be appropriate. I didn't ask that.

bearonu's responded -
I think that the Linderman character that we keep hearing about but have never seen is going to be the higher-up that the dad has been talking to. He would be yet another connector that would bring more characters together (Nikki, the Petrellis, and now Claire and her father)
- This does seem much more likely than what I suggested. For some reason I never thought of Linderman being much more than a bad guy in the shadows. Interesting.

too bad Eden had to kill herself but Sylar would be more dangerous with her power....

Eden, the girl who can force people to do things right? I'm assuming since Sylar killed her, he is going to take her power, right? Or was there something in there that made him not get it?

Couple of questions.

Is the hot cheerleaders dad a good or a bad guy?
When they showed her dad on the phone he was talking to his supperiors. What do you think the chances are that Peter Patreli's dad faked his death and is the cheerleaders dad's boss?
Is the cheerleader not the hottest thing you've ever seen on tv?
Does Peter Patreli's brother end up being a bad guy?
If you had the option to be able to read other people's thoughts would you want to?

I think the dad is a good guy, but with his own agenda. that haitian guy is badass.

I think that Peter's dad is really dead, and that Linderman guy is going to be one of the upper bad guys.

Yes, the cheerleader is amazing. And she's about my age, so perfectly legal for me  .

I think Peter's brother is a bad guy. I mean come on, he's a politician.

I would only want to read other people's minds if i could control when i could hear their thoughts. if i had no control over when the thoughts would come in, then forget it.

But really, out of all of the characters, who's power would you want the most?

For me, it has to be Hiro's power. I mean come on, there isn't anything sweeter than being able to stop time and teleport. I guess its more of a race for second place.

I thought that Eden shot herself so Sylar couldn't take how power... she shot herself in the head so he could't open up her brain and see how it worked... at least that's what I thought happpened.

and yes... Hayden Panettiere is smokin'... she also played the coaches daughter in Remember The Titans.... too young then

I think Nathan Petrelli is not so much bad as, well, morally compromised (like so many politicians). I don't think he'll be directly involved in any wrongdoing, but will somehow allow or enable someone else to interfere with the Heroes' mission.

Has anybody here done any further reading on Heroes in the many web-forums devoted to discussing its arcana? The cheerleader's dad seems to be universally recognized as "the man with Horn-Rimmed Glasses" (or HRG).

I have no idea what Nathan's goals are, he seems to pretty much make the best of any situation he's in to work his way. Agreed thats pretty political, he does realize that he needs to keep his powers quiet, something Peter is now beginning to understand.

On the NBC.Com forum there's some interesting info, but it's much like the old Lost forums where people just toss things out in the dark and trolls flame you.

As for the dad, I can't figure out what his motives are, he's tracking the hero's as best I can figure. The other thing I am curious about, I assumed it was the Haitian that nullified peoples powers but now I think it may just be the dad.

Angry that I have to wait til January to see another episode :mad1:

I'm fairly certain that it's the Haitian. Remember the scene where the cop blacked out because his mind-reading power was blocked by the Haitian who was sitting in the corner? The dad was nowhere around at that moment IIRC.

But in the bar Matt could still read peoples minds, when they were interrogating Claire after the Homecoming Dad was in the room and they couldn't get nothing. Also, when Dad was visiting Sylar he said "you can't use your powers in here" but when the girl went in he just went through the window.

Yeah, he was able to read minds, until he looked in the direction of the Haitian, therefore trying to read his mind, then his power stopped and he blacked out. I also think the Sylar thing was different, because they had him locked in a chamber where his powers couldn't be used. You definitely see a red light/green light that turns on on and off as people entered the adjoining room. When the Dad went in to talk to him, the room was on lockdown so Sylar couldn't use his power, but the girl had to unlock the room when she went in in order to slip the gun through the drawer.

Either way, great show.
