NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Monday's ratings battle between Jack Bauer's "24" and NBC's "Heroes" ended much as the first, with another win for the Peacock.

"Heroes" beat "24" head to head, but "24," along with a stronger performance from "Prison Break," helped Fox to eke out a win for the night in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary data released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. Meanwhile, "Deal or No Deal" prevailed at 8 p.m. and a repeat "CSI: Miami" outweighed new episodes of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and "What About Brian."
It was another win for NBC's "Heroes" (13.6 million, 6.1 rating/14 share in adults 18-49), although it was down 8 percent in the demo compared with last week's return to the air. "Heroes" was still the dominant player, with a 13 percent margin in the demo over "24" (15.3 million, 5.4/12) and 33 percent above "24" in adults 18-34.
But "24" was still up slightly compared with last week in viewership and steady in the demo.

Actually, my theory is that the politician (forgot his name) is the cheerleaders father.

I don't think he's old enough to be her dad.

But something I've been noticing with the show. It seems to have everyone connected through their family someway. Peter + his brother (politician), Claire and her pyro mom (and dad TBA), Hiro and his dad appearing as some kind of major player (maybe has powers?), Micah and his parents (Niki/Jessica + D.L.), the scientist and his father, and who knows what other connections they could be making out there.

I think Claire's dad is Linderman.

That was the general thought from everyone, that it would be Linderman or Bennet, however, Nathan is still a pretty cool prospect, it will weave her back into the group really easy.

Last nights episode was decent but it didn't live up to the hype all week in my opinion.

I think it revealed a lot.

1. Peter can access the powers he has absorbed at will when he learns how.

2. The Haitian wasn't able to slow down Siler this time

3. Nathan is more involved the he has cared to admit

4. Nikki/Jessica is on the prowl again and beholding to Linderman (for the time being).

5. Mr. Invisible has a past linking him to Bennett, explaining why he remains hidden

6. Hiro's powers are gone (for the time being)

7. Since these things are very genetic, it is likely that Hiro's father and/or sister are also "special", but necessarily on the good side, which would explain them trying to stop Hiro from going to see Linderman.

It looked, to me, like the Haitian was able to keep Siler from using his powers, once they actually got to the house. Otherwise Siler would've just killed everyone in the house. The only difference was that he didn't have the girls persuasive powers their to get Siler to come to him. Siler doesn't need powers to run away.

I thought that they explained that away with the whole business stuff. Otherwise they wouldn't have just let him go in the end.

Last time, the Haitian was able to immobilize Siler mentally it seemed. Maybe I just don't remember the first encounter exactly as it went down.

I'm just not convinced we've seen the last Hiro's father or sister.

I think the fall off of the bleachers, that killed Peter, helped. Not that a gunshot wound wouldn't.

You don't have to be convinced...just throwing my viewpoint out there. I actually hope you're right, at least about Hiro's sister. One more hot chick never hurt anything, and the fact that she's asian helps add a little more to it for me. There's already a hot black chick, and now three blonde chicks. Add an asian, and it's a smorgasbord of hotness.
