What kind of lettuce do you make with Wookie/Ewok porn?

I got name recognition so I do okay but some of these bitches stink so bad I swear they're from Newark. Worked with a broad the other day who called herself Tron's Momma. No idea what that meant but she's a worker.

FWIW don't put too much stock into the upwards of a half million death toll estimates. Those numbers are just being pulled out of thin air by shell shocked people with nothing to back them up.

I would be very surprised if the real numbers turn out to be a tenth of that (which of course is still a massive catastrophe).

Think back to the initial death toll estimates of 9/11 & Katrina vs what the actual numbers ended up being.

Thanks for the links, Sushi. I was in Port Au Prince for mission work about 9 years ago. Just got word that the boys' home that housed us was leveled, and the childrens' hospital we worked at may have been as well. It's heartbreaking to think of the kids we saw there being in the middle of all of this. :(

If I can add one more link, this is the hospital we worked at: Grace Children's Hospital. They take care of TB vaccinations for the general population, and inpatient care and education for kids whose families can't take care of them due to illness. From what I've heard so far, I'm sure they can desperately use any help.

And here is the link to the home we stayed in. It also has a donation link, though it seems to be down right now: St. Joseph's Home For Boys.

Must be an AT&T subscriber!

Now, incorrect! Sorry!

Verizon Wireless customers alone have pledged more than $1 Million to the American Red Cross relief effort for victims in Haiti. Thanks to all that have participated. If you?d like to make your $10 donation text the word ?HAITI? to 90999. 100% of the money donated will be passed on to the Red Cross.

Whoever suggested overnight evacuation of these doctors, the UN or the parent organization of the Belgian doctors at the affected facility, should be brought to account.

CNN -
Security concerns cause doctors to leave hospital, quake victims

Port-au-Prince, Haiti (CNN) -- Earthquake victims, writhing in pain and grasping at life, watched doctors and nurses walk away from a field hospital Friday night after United Nations officials ordered a medical team to evacuate the area out of security concerns, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta reported.

:: ::
"I've never been in a situation like this. This is quite ridiculous," Gupta said.
He reported that the doctors and nurses began returning Saturday morning.
:: ::
Gupta said the Belgian doctors did not want to leave their patients behind but were ordered out by the United Nations, which sent buses to transport them.
:: ::
"What is striking to me as a physician is that patients who just had surgery, patients who are critically ill are essentially being left here, nobody to care for them," Gupta said.
Sandra Pierre, a Haitian who has been helping at the makeshift hospital, said the medical staff took most of the supplies with them.
"All the doctors, all the nurses are gone," she said. "They are expected to be back tomorrow. They had no plan on leaving tonight. It was an order that came suddenly."
She told Gupta, "It's just you."

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honor?, who led relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina in 2005, said the evacuation of the clinic's medical staff was unforgivable.
"We can't be leaning so much toward security that we allow people to die," he said Saturday.
"Search and rescue must trump security," Honor? said Friday night. "I've never seen anything like this before in my life. They need to man up and get back in there."
The UN says it was not their call (though whose buses cme to collect the doctors then?) there has been no comment from the Belgian NGO with which the doctors are affiliated.

One thing is certain, that is shameful behavior all around.

To his credit Gupta stayed on site and helped the patients, several of whom were recently out of surgery.
