Newbie
I am a Soldier stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC. My boss Master Sergeant White will be leaving our office in March. Master Sergeant White is a lifelong OSU fan. He is a native of Huron, OH. He was a walk-on at OSU some 20 years ago. His brother also played there.

Master Sergeant White has served this country proudly for almost 20 years. In a few weeks we are going to have a luncheon for him. He will recieve many parting gifts for his outstanding devotion to duty. We, the Staff of the Army's Drill Sergeant Program are giving him a panoramic print of Buckeye Stadium. To top this off I am trying in some way to get an autographed photo of Coach Tressel to go along with it. I know that this is something that he will cherish for a life time.

I know that Coach Tressel is a busy man, but if he could find the time to do this for us, we would be greatly in his debt. If anyone can help me please e-mail me at the following: [email protected]

Thank you and Roll Tide!

You can contact the football offices at 614-292-2531 and try to arrange something that way. Coach Tressel is enormously generous with his time and patience in this regard, and I suspect you won't have any problem arranging something with his staff.

I'll email you this response as well.

You just have to go to the official website and get the address to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center adn then send the pic with an envelope along with a return envelope. Worked for me.

If he was a walk-on 20 years ago, then he was on the team when Tressel was an assistant...JT would probably remember him and so it shouldn't be a problem getting him to sign the pic for your boss' retirement.

Yep, he was a walk-on back then, not a very good walk-on though. Atleast he had the guts to give it a shot! And by the way I spent three years at Schofield Barracks so I know where Mililani is.

When were you out there? I was at Kaneohe MCAS in the early 90s. Knew a ton of linguists up at Schofield at the time.
