Who will win the Heisman?

Leinart faced three awful defenses from Notre Dame, Arizona and Arizona State. He threw 3 tds and 6 interceptions. Yet all of the voters excused those stats b/c he is leinart and plays for USC. I'm not saying the guy isn't a top QB, but he has never been the MVP of USC, let alone the best player in the nation. Bush was last year, and has a much larger margin over Leinart this year.

Had Vince Young had a 0 td 3 int performance against a shoddy defense like Leinart did, his heisman candidacy would be seriously handicapped by now.

Jwins, I show Leinart with 2 picks against ND, and 2 TD's and 3 picks for the 3-game stretch of ND, Arizona, and Arizona St. I agree with your observations and opinions, I'm just talking about the actual stats.

i vote for bush simply because he is the best player in college football right now. the pac 10 is nothing impressive and vince young does not really do anything that impresses me. simply put if we beat texas and the media doesnt hype on young than he wouldnt even be considered for a heisman and thats no lie. the big 12 is probably having the weakest year its ever had and the only reason young is getting the stats is because he is playing nobody and the only good team(us) he had some really bad calls on his plays and threw picks and you didnt see him run wild like they always show. the media is now his darling since he led his team back to beat ok state. who is ok state? personally i think its a negative image when your offense gets DOMINATED by ok state and you somehow are getting pounded in the first half to a team that fla atlantic can play with. young is a great athlete but hes not even the best qb nor is he the best player. reggie bush is splitting a lot of time with white and playing better and against better opponents which is my reason he gets my vote.

I guess it's all in how you interpret what the Heisman is, which is supposed to be the most outstanding player in CFB. To me, the most "Outstanding" is Bush. The "Most Valuable" is Young. The "Best" is Hawk. So, by my own standards, Bush should win it. (He should have won it last year).
