Hearing Aids - wow what a difference

    • as many of you know my daughter has hearing loss that now requires hearing aids. we got the hearing aids yesterday and it truly night and day.

    Before the hearing aids in the sound booth she didn't turn until the noise was 85db - normal speaking voice is 50-65db. A child her age should be able to hear 20db (a very soft whisper) - with the hearing aids she turned at 30db yesterday!

    Anywho, I just wanted to share this because it was so amazing to see this.

    an update:

    we had an ASSR test done today where they put sensors in her ears to test get a more accurate diagnosis of the level of hearing loss because we had been getting some mixed feedback. I'm excited to say that she has NO hearing loss and that we no longer need to use the hearing aids!!!

    My cousin has a magnet implanted under his skull. His hearing aid is wired to another magnet that sits on top of the surface of is head. The two magnets convey the electric impulses from the earpiece and it goes directly into his brain for processing.
    Amazing stuff.
    Anyone else see the story of how totally blind people are seeing through their tongues?
