Video shows bison with its head trapped in car at Quebec wildlife park
https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/i-was-shocked-video-shows-bison-with-its-head-trapped-in-car-at-quebec-wildlife-park-
A large bison at a wildlife park in western Quebec is unhurt after a frightening incident over the weekend.

The bison—weighing in well more than 450 kilograms—got its head stuck through the open window of a small car on Sunday at Parc Oméga, east of Gatineau, near Montebello, Que.

“Somebody opened the window and … the bison put the head inside the car and I was shocked,” said Leonardo Heizer, who was at the park and captured the now viral video.

Heizer and his family made the drive from Ottawa, hoping to see bison for the first time since immigrating to Canada from Brazil four years ago.

What he saw instead was something staff at the park say has never happened before.

“I was thinking somebody is going to get hurt for sure,” Heizer said.

Thankfully, staff say the bison was able to free itself from the vehicle in about ten minutes without harming itself or the people in the car.

“He wasn’t trapped that long so thankfully it was just more panic rather than anything else, so he wasn’t hurt and he managed to get himself back out and he wasn’t hurt so we’re very thankful for that,” Lucy Robertson, a staff member at Parc Oméga said.

Robertson says the incident is a reminder of the importance of following the park’s rules.

“All of our safety rules have been put in place to avoid any incidents, such as what happened on Sunday, and just to ensure the safety of both animals and our visitors,” she noted.

The park expressly forbids people from opening their windows in the bison enclosure, or feeding the animals.

Heizer says the car involved was significantly damaged.

“The windshield was damaged and the column between the front window and the windshield was damaged too,” he noted.

Staff at the park couldn’t say whether the driver of the vehicle would face any punishment as a result of the incident.

The park remains open and visitors can still see the bison in its enclosure.

Nigerian businessman arraigned for death of American stripper in Ghana
By Dennis Erezi
https://guardian.ng/news/nigerian-businessman-arraigned-for-death-of-american-stripper-in-ghana/
A Nigerian businessman has been arraigned by Ghana police for the death of American stripper Julie Diane Williams known as Tyger Booty.

Ghana police said Tyger Booty was in contact with a Nigerian businessman identified as Bright Udiagbe known as Big Slim while she was in Ghana. Big Slim owns a hotel, restaurants, and nightclubs in both Nigeria and Ghana.

Tyger Booty was reported dead in mid-December 2021 at a hotel in Abelemkpe, a suburb in Ghana’s capital city Accra.

Weeks after her death, Ghanaian police have been investigating the death and tracking the sequence of events before her death on how she arrived in Ghana, contact with the country and the US embassy, and arrests related to her demise.

Accra Regional Police Public Relations Chief Supt Alexander Obeng confirmed in a radio report that Tyger’s case was lodged with Tesano Police and had been forwarded to the headquarters.

Ghana police disclosed that she died at the Rayporsh Hotel on December 14, which was 11 days after her arrival from the US through Nigeria.

“Preliminary police investigation has established that the deceased US national arrived in Ghana on December 3, 2021 en route from Nigeria. Having tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival, she was taken into an isolation center at Ave Maria Hotel, South Legon-Accra,” Ghana police said in a statement.

Big Slim has since been arraigned in a prosecution led by Chief Inspector Lawrence Anane, at the Kaneshie District Court, where other suspects are facing trial for the model’s death.

They have since been granted a GH₵100,000 bail with two sureties each by the court after their arrests.

Chief Inspector Anane also disclosed at the court that the deceased and Big Slim had been in a working relationship for the past five years.

Ghana police said an autopsy report on Tyger Booty’s death is being awaited to continue the trial.

Which article? The one about the stripper dying in Ghana or the one about Hymens/Virginity? Because I read the latter with a Nigerian accent and it became REALLY interesting...
i was thinking about the tygerbooty story.

i was reading the hymen story in the voice of billy connelly impersonating the queen complaining about her itchy arse. look up his famous 1989 HBO Comedy Hour routine... 6:13 mark (though the whole thing is hilarious):

Dangerous levels of carbon monoxide were detected at a Hampton Inn in Marysville, Ohio.

(CNN)At least four people have been released from an Ohio hospital after breathing life-threatening levels of carbon monoxide in a Hampton Inn pool area.

They are among 13 people, including an unconscious 2-year-old girl, who were hospitalized in the incident Saturday night in Marysville, Ohio.

Two critical patients -- now stabilized -- and five serious-but-stable patients have been transferred to tertiary care facilities, according to Melanie Ziegler, VP of Community Engagement for Memorial Health who spoke to CNN Sunday morning.
The hotel had been evacuated Saturday after a 911 call reported the young girl unconscious, Police Chief Tony Brooks said.

"Shortly after this call, the local 911 Center received additional calls (referencing) unconscious subjects in and around the pool area," Brooks told CNN via email. "Others described symptoms such as dizziness and a burning in their throat."

Nine people, including the 2-year-old, were taken to local hospitals, and four others arrived to the hospital on their own, Brooks said. Two other people received medical evaluations at the scene and were not hospitalized.

"We did have life threatening levels of carbon monoxide in the pool area of the hotel and we transported several people to local hospitals," Marysville Fire Chief Jay Riley told CNN in an email. "We continue the investigation into the source and (are) glad that no one died as a result of their exposure."
Marysville is about 30 miles northwest of Columbus.

Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that can cause sudden illness and death. Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include headache, dizziness, weakness, upset stomach, vomiting, chest pain as well as confusion, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The woman who reported being “groped” in virtual reality late last year has come forward to discuss her horrifying experience.

“Within 60 seconds of joining — I was verbally and sexually harassed — 3-4 male avatars, with male voices, essentially, but virtually gang raped my avatar and took photos — as I tried to get away they yelled — ‘don’t pretend you didn’t love it’ and ‘go rub yourself off to the photo,’” Nina Jane Patel, 43, recalled in a Medium postrecounting the “nightmare” she experienced as a beta tester on the VR platform Horizon Worlds, created by Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook.

“A horrible experience that happened so fast and before I could even think about putting the safety barrier in place,” the London-based mother wrote, referring to Meta’s Safe Zone feature, which allows users to place a block on interaction with other users.

In December, the company revealed that a then-unnamed woman had been virtually “groped” on the platform. While she published her story on Medium at the time to little fanfare, Patel is making her voice louder to publicly discuss her concerns with the platform.

“Harassment in the metaverses is a serious issue that the industry needs to come together on to put in place the correct security controls and safety measures,” Patel wrote in an emailed statement to The Post. “This is/will continue to be problematic for both men and women (adults) as our world fast moves from the 2D internet as we know it — into the 3D internet space (The Metaverse).”

Nina Patel is the co-founder and VP of Metaverse Research at Kabuni.
Craig Hibbert
She’s also safeguarding her future and the future of many others with Kabuni, an educational metaverse equipped with parental controls she is creating for children.

“The more damaging lens of course will be on our children who will start to use the Metaverse(s) more and more over the coming years,” she wrote.

“The inevitable move into the Metaverse now causes further concerns if not properly regulated and controlled for this impressionable age group on the back of solid research, science, data and evidence-based methodologies,” Patel added. “This is the foundation upon which Kabuni has been established and is currently working with educators around the world to shape a safer Metaverse for children aged 8-16.”

Indeed, the assault she endured on the platform has left her concerned about the metaverse’s level of safety — for adults and children alike — and anxious to prevent others from having similar experiences.

Woman claims she was virtually ‘groped’ in Meta’s VR metaverse

“Virtual reality has essentially been designed so the mind and body can’t differentiate virtual/digital experiences from real,” she wrote on Medium. “In some capacity, my physiological and psychological response was as though it happened in reality.”

Joe Osborne, a Meta spokesperson, told The Post that the company will make “improvements” to ensure the safety of all.

“We’re sorry to hear this happened. We want everyone in Horizon Venues to have a positive experience, easily find the safety tools that can help in a situation like this — and help us investigate and take action,” Osborne said. “Horizon Venues should be safe, and we are committed to building it that way. We will continue to make improvements as we learn more about how people interact in these spaces, especially when it comes to helping people report things easily and reliably.”

40-person brawl breaks out in Golden Corral over reported steak shortage

Diners can be seen throwing punches — and high chairs — during the Bensalem, Pa. restaurant riot

All-you-can-eat devolved into all-you-can-beat at this Golden Corral restaurant.

Viral video footage showed dozens of customers punching each other, shouting, jumping — and even swinging and throwing high chairs — inside the Bensalem, Pa. restaurant last Friday. The food fight reportedly broke out after the buffet ran out of steak.

“From what I heard, it was over steak. Apparently somebody cut in line,” Dylan Becker, a former Golden Corral employee, told CBS Philly. He said a current worker told him this.

His friend Gaven Lauletta also told the local news station that he heard from Golden Corral workers that “there was a shortage of steak, and two parties were involved.”

Indeed, a man can be heard saying, “All I wanted was some steak!” on the video, which went viral on social media over the weekend. It led “Golden Corral” to trend on Twitter TWTR, -4.01% on Tuesday morning. One tweet sharing the video has been viewed almost 300,000 times. Be warned that there is some strong language and violence depicted, and that this clip may be disturbing for some viewers.

The footage shows the buffet melee erupting, ironically enough, beneath a painted sign reading “Gather Round.” Customers begin pushing and shoving each other, before some lift up high chairs and begin swinging and throwing them. Punches are also thrown, and many people run away or jump over chairs and tables to get away. “Throwing chairs? God—,” one person is heard saying. Employees are also shown trying to break up the brawlers, and screaming at customers to get out. As the angry crowd begins to disperses, the restaurant is left in shambles.

Golden Corral was not immediately available for comment. JK Hospitality, LLC, owns that specific Golden Corral franchise location, told CBS Philly in a statement that, “Thankfully, no serious injury have been reported. The safety of our guests and co-workers is our top priority.”

Bensalem police told CBS that the food fight may have involved more than 40 people. Law enforcement confirmed that it happened following an argument among some customers, although officers were still investigating exactly what caused the argument, as well as who incited the incident. The instigator(s) could face several charges, including simple assault.

One local woman who watched the video told CBS she was “disgusted that people would even do that in a public place when there’s children around.”

One viewer on Twitter mused, “If you’re angry about Golden Corral running out of steak, you should reexamine your life choices.”

“Americans are fighting each other at Golden Corral over low-grade steaks. We are doing great,” added another.

The shocking footage sparked plenty of conversation — and jokes at Golden Corral’s expense — online.

Golden Corral isn’t the only restaurant feeling the pinch of supply chain issues, rising steak prices and high demand of late, of course. Chipotle workers recently told MarketWatch that they have been feeling “ripped in two” after being overwhelmed by online orders and furious customers. Chipotle employees also told MarketWatch about running out of steak and trying to substitute chicken instead — leading to angry customers yelling at them. One worker recalled a time when his Bronx, N.Y. store was only taking online orders, and the crush of orders led to a backup of about 30 people waiting outside.

The employee, Albert Morales, said one customer picked up a chair and threw it, leaving a mark on one of the windows. Morales called the police twice, but nobody came until he and his coworkers flagged down a couple of officers they saw driving by, who eventually calmed the man down.

“He was yelling and cursing,” Morales said. “He wanted to fight with me and the employees, and wanted to beat up our security guard.”

Nigerian Man Dies In US After Sex With Trans Prostitute
Ayriana Hamler, 25, was charged with the murder of 49-year-old Rotimi Olaleye on January 8, 2022.

A Nigerian man has died after spending the night with a transgender prostitute, Ayriana Hamler.

It was gathered that the married Nigerian man, Rotimi Olaleye's body was found lying outside of his vehicle in a secluded parking lot near the infamous “Bissonnet track” earlier this month, Houston police said.

Hamler has now been accused of killing Olaleye who was her first time customer.

Ayriana Hamler, 25, was charged with the murder of 49-year-old Rotimi Olaleye on January 8, 2022.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video from several businesses in the area, which appears to outline movements of the suspect and the victim.

According to court documents, at around 11:55 pm, a black Nissan Altima driven by Hamler, parked near a Chevron gas station located in the 9700 block of Bissonnet Street near Country Creek Drive. The area is known for high levels of prostitution.

Hamler is seen exiting the vehicle and walking toward the west end of the lot. Olaleye, who was in a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, drove up and parked in a dark alleyway near the gas station. He exited the driver’s side and entered the back left side of his vehicle and Hamler got in on the right side, police said.

It was not known what happened between the two, but, at some point, Olaleye exited his vehicle and fell to the ground.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Olaleye unresponsive and pantless. He had been shot multiple times in the chest, according to documents.

Two .40 caliber-shell-casings were found on the back floorboard of the victim’s vehicle, in addition to a bullet hole in the roof.

Upon further investigation, police identified Hamler as the suspect in the case. Charges were filed, but she remains on the loose.

Hamler was last seen wearing a black sweater with white spotted-designs, black underpants, and black high boots.

Records show that she was previously arrested and charged with prostitution in 2021.

However, according to reports, it was said that Hamler was born male, which means she is a crossed gender. A fight probably ensued when Olaleye discovered that he was about to make love to a fellow male before he was shot.
