Not too far from the truth.

Her name was Rhoda and she was a truck driver. Her son was on the team.

When I first saw Pee Wees big adventure and the "tell 'em large Marge sent ya!" part, I thought of Rhoda.

and the beer in the dugout, cig's hanging from lips, obscenity being hurled and frequent fist fight stuff that people today think is fiction from the Bad News Bears...wasn't fiction.

70's LL baseball in SW Ohio folks. I was witness.

I remember stopping games as a 14 year old umpire and threatening to forfeit if some dumb broad like that didn't leave the area.

For 5 bucks a game I'm only taking so much bullshit.

Now she'd be shamed on Youtube until her kid was 20.
