Wondering who fell off the 85 'ships to make room for the xfer QB. He was pretty adamant about not saying who it was. For what it's worth, I like how he fielded that question.

I really hope we can figure out a way to keep him around to be Urban's successor. I don't think Urban is the type to coach much past 5 more years or so.
Pay Day as the highest paid assistant until UFM is ready to step aside. This way we dont miss a step once it comes time for Urbs to retire.
Really like how Ryan handles himself though. Very impressive guy!

Researching the Magic!
Impressed with that presser performance from Day. He seems very comfortable and sounds like he's enjoying the college coaching experience. As long as the performance is there this season, I'd be very happy to see them pay him as much as needed to keep him around.

He sounds legit... so why not. What could go wrong?
Being serious though he's been talked up like crazy by everyone who's employed him and sometimes you have to act prematurely on people like this before you know 100%. Sometimes when you wait until it's a slam dunk its too late and they're somewhere else.
Dabo and even Jimbo Fisher for example weren't home runs when they first started yet they're two of the better coaches out there now. Besides if we can blow 500k to find out that Zach ordered dildos then we can afford to give Ryan more money in the hopes he pans out.

Coach Day is a great coach and class act. As is Schiano. Hard to see either of them staying around for 5 more years. But they will have an opportunity somewhere else and when Urban leaves we could bring one of them back as the HC.

One thing is for sure. Whenever Urbs leaves there won't be a shortage of excellent coaches just salivating to take the job. Looking forward to Saturday and Coach Days debut!
