HC Ryan Day (National Champion)

I expected Chip would only be around a year or two anyways. Day needs to get a real OC though. I'd hate to seem him make some meh hire whos only the "Offensive Coordinator" in title only with Day really making most of the play calls again.
I don't think Day wants to call plays again after seeing how much is on his plate, and being able to win with someone else calling the plays. If Day was calling plays this season, no way does he have the time to correct the defense after the 1st Oregon game

yeah, but maybe you only get that luxury when you have a trusted veteran and mentor like kelly backing you up?

Learned/confirmed a lot about what I thought I was watching his team do over this past season. Ryan Day is a lot closer to who I thought we were getting with Urban Meyer as head coach. I hadn’t realize Urbs was gonna have to spend so much time/energy in bringing the program up to the level many teams in the SEC were already at. And I certainly don’t fault him for that. Ryan Day has the advantage of concentrating on keeping this program going at that same level and adjusting to what’s ahead. Programs with the kind of success/history the Buckeyes have are expected to hire coaches with great resumes and established winning systems. Kudos to Nick Saban for being willing to adapt and adjust his system, even more-so over his final 10 years at Bama. OSU fans are insanely fortunate to have Day at the beginning of his head coaching career. We’re watching Ryan Day build the Ryan Day System™ season by season. It is obvious that he has the qualities and convictions anyone would want to do his job well. What impresses me most is his flexibility in adapting to address the various shortcomings that need overcoming at the end of every season. This is an amazing time in OSU football history. I want very much to see him bring home two more natty‘s in the next six years.

Time for a Daynesty™
