Since 2011 this is the biggest failure of a year. Can he rebound yes. But or coaches won’t know till after Thanksgiving November 2022. It’s not about recruiting or coaches it’s about beating SCUM.

Day drinking confirmed.
Ryan Day isn't John Cooper. If anything he's Roy McAvoy. That said, if there's ONE person on the planet right now more keenly aware that losing to scUM isn't acceptable than Ryan Day is right now, I'd be completely at a loss.

Being responsible for things you can’t directly control is part of the job for everyone in any kind of leadership position anywhere.
If it happens once, it’s an outlier and you are ok. Happens twice and it’s a trend. Then the person in leadership best be seen as fixing the problem or they are going to be in trouble.

Day was handed the keys to a Lamborghini. He never had a head coaching job before Ohio State, which concerned me from day one.
This isn't a training gig. It's a big job. Is he up for it? Questions remain as long as the best defense he can put out there, given all of the recruiting power of Ohio State, gets bulldozed by any team with a pulse.
He's an offensive guy, and his offenses produce. But being the head coach is about more than offense, and Day had that fact shoved up his ass in Ann Arbor.
What happens going forward will tell us if Ryan Day is up to the challenge of being head coach at Ohio State. I hope he succeeds, but time will tell.

Why doesn't he get credit for 2019? He's the one who hired Hafley. Coombs was considered a good hire at the time. Didn't work out. Maybe see who he hires this off-season first before panicking?
I just have seen zero reason to doubt Day's ability to make adjustments. Every single coach makes bad hires except Saban, I guess. I just think all this consternation is premature

You know what? Chicken butt.
Day uses the word “tough” all the time. He wants a tough team but we haven’t seen many examples of him coaching a team like that but people are forgetting a pretty tough team kicked Clemson’s ass in the semi’s just last year.

Who recruits those 4 and 5 star players?
Who trains them all year every year?
Who decides to put which players on the field?
Who decides what plays to call to maximize those players abilities?
Coaches control a lot more than you're giving them credit for.

After just 1 win they definitely have come out of hiding, brand new ttun shirts, running their mouths online and in public etc.... Day better fix this shit fast

I doubt you see any coaching changes until after bowl games, officially. I am okay with them taking their time to decide what the coaching staff looks like next year. It’s not as simple as pick the biggest name, throw them a bag, and everything on the defensive side is better.Defensive staff fixed yet? Oline coach?
Funny though how after the MSU game, everyone was praising Day, and this staff for figuring it out.

I don't get the desire to replace Coach Stu - our OL has consistently been elite, the man coached most of the year after recovering from back surgery, and the issues the OL showed IMO had nothing to do with him but much more the predictability of the offense which is nothing Stu has control over.

Why are we assuming Day is here next year? Chicago is going to be calling..Kelly left ND. Could Day leave for JF and the founding franchise? Crazier things happened last week. No changes in staff yet?
