Ehh...I think if he's winning 10+ games and above .500 against TCUN, it won't have to be unpopular because it's not going to happen.

I think your observation is probably accurate in many regards but can’t overlook that Day did actually get over the hump, perhaps in spite of his own Franklin-esque tendencies, but he still got it done.

Took a player revolt basically the swing it in motion to get him over the hump. Also Chip Kelly isn't walking through that door either

This is where I am on the Cooper/Franklin analogy….Day has his scalp on the wall.
You have to take that into consideration. I was one of his biggest critics because I didn’t think he could ever win it with the pattern he still shows.
Well thankfully I was wrong on that so I give him his due. He can go a long time from here as long as he keeps The Game in order.

Sark was going to be drawn and quartered last night before the collapse. During which time he was allowed to check down to victory. You should have heard the halftime screams at him about that fourth down gimkick.
There's one curt c, and he hasn't proved anything sustainable yet.
Kirby got over the hump bc two OSU wrs died (and a third didn't play). He loses in both nc runs if they play
Dabo got over the hump and is now completely broken.

I would argue that the scheme worked on O and D (but need a not broken Grady and more snaps for Wilder and Riley).
This team is flawed, and they destroyed Texas for 3 quarters, with no pass rushers.
With an ok offensive line, which suffered a major injury and didn't miss a beat.
The good thing is they can't walk away from that thinking they had it all figured out.
And they have 4 weeks to get Wilder, Henry, McCuin, Boyd and Bey acclimated

The first half worked very well. They needed to adjust off that though for the 2nd half but Instead they decided on a cruise control only game plan for the 2nd half like the game was already win

I know. I'm piggy backing. He's imperfect but head and shoulders above everyone besides curt.
Also the brilliant curt turned in "typical Ryan" offensive play with the #1 pick at QB in the big ccg. And he's undeniably a great coach, and also not switching.

I don't disagree, but they came within inches of getting away with it. There were about 10-12 game changing plays on 50-50 moments that all bounced Indiana's way.
Conversely all of those bounced osu's in the first half. Timmons earned his to. McClain did not.
This forces them to rethink things. That overthrow by sayin to mccuin will pay dividends.

The lucky bounces definitely ended up evening out in the 2nd half with Texas recovering 2 fumbles where Ohio State guys were right there but somehow couldn't land on the ball.
