It’s the off season and I have scarlet colored lenses, etc., BUT I see our new coach doing all the right things. The transfer portal is his bitch and he’s recruiting Ohio like UFM, and even Tressel, never did. We’ll see but it looks like he’s put together a helluva coaching staff and rather than losing recruiting momentum after the resignation of a legend he’s actually picked up speed (thanks largely to his eventual successor, Brian Fucking Hartline). I think he’s going to carpet bomb the B1G this year. Who know what happens after than, but I see a good fucking season.

My first concern when he took over was if he would put a border around Ohio recruiting again. Seems he has done that well so far. Top priority should be keeping top talent in state. I like the hires so far and hope the defense has some huge improvement and as said Brian Hartline has been tremendous since taking over the WR’s. Hopefully he can stay on for a few years and become a household name with WR’s and then bump up to OC a few years down the road and potentially could be an up and coming HC someday but that’s a bit down the road. UFM gifted us with Ryan Day and so far I’m stoked about what I think he will do for tOSU.

I want to see ridiculous scores like we used to see when margin of victory was a thing. Something like hang 63 on PSU or 63 on Northwestern or 62 on TTUN and then something like 59 on B1G West Champ Wisconsin. These are just hypothetical numbers. They can be higher if Coach Day would like.

“One of the things I like about (Day) is the way the players talk about him when he’s not around,” the 6-foot-1, 218-pound Simon said. “I’ve only heard good things about him, and how much of a team guy he is. They really like him, and that really speaks to his character and how he is since his players talk about him with such a high opinion.

“That’s what I like about him. He’s a great guy and he’s a team player. I just really enjoy him.”
