Completely changed the complexion of the game. If we punch them back in the mouth by running that in, it's a ballgame. When we got cute like you correctly stated they could smell blood in the water. Should have imposed our will and given the Defense something to anchor itself to. 100% on Ryan Day on that drive.

What happened when the Game was last played? We got our asses handed to us!!! If all you want to talk about is the lost 2020 game, that's loser talk mentality! Now the team needs to use every quote, and every film tape of them getting embarrassed as fuel for the 2022 game! I want Hairball to keep talking, and the media is going to love him the rest of the season because he's most likely going to be in the NC. And I want the players and coaches to keenly watch, because that should've been us winning the B1G championship in Indy, beating UC on a neutral field to show the country that were Ohios best team. And for us to play for the NC. But no, our team(mainly lineman) played like entitled pansies and then got out coached on top of being out manned.

Exactly. This reminds me of when Ed O finally won a game against Saban and talked a lot of shit only for Bama to come in and drop a 10 megaton nuke on LSU the very next year.

We saw Stroud try to escape collapsing pockets, do so slowly and take sacks where jt, Justin, Braxton, terrell, troy would have all escaped.

They also ran a tiny amount of option vs Nebraska and it also went poorly. He's just not that athletic nor a natural operator of the option. The latter is a key. Terrelle and Braxton weren't either, which is why JT suddenly had a lot more longer runs than them despite possessing half the foot speed.

Maybe he could infrequently take open 5 yd gains, but the defense wants him to do it. It also will stop him from making throws like he did a few times yesterday when buying time.

One run doesn't make a runner, but his scramble for a touchdown (unfortunately called back for holding) demonstrated more than a bit of running ability. But yeah, he's not JT.

Just something to think about as we tie ourselves up in knots over the Buckeyes performance against Michigan:

• Jim Harbaugh is .500 or worse against Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa and Wisconsin in the Big Ten.
• Jim Harbaugh is 1-5 against Ohio State.
• Jim Harbaugh is 3-4 against Michigan State and 0-2 against Mel Tucker.
• Jim Harbaugh is 1-4 in bowl games.
• Jim Harbaugh is 20-21 against Power 5 teams that are at least .500 since 2015.
• Jim Harbaugh is 70-23 overall (71%)

Sucks we lost to Michigan and lost a chance at CFP……but in many ways, maybe we should be thankful. How many years does this possibly buy him? The guy just isn’t that good…..and looking at their roster, I’m not seeing much to be that scared of. It’s not like a powerhouse is being built.

Just thought I’d add some perspective.

We still need a new DC though.

Losing to TSUN exposed Ohio State's sense of entitlement, coaching lapses in playcalling on both sides of the ball, and a need to seriously reconsider whether the defensive coaching staff are fit for purpose. Coach Day has the responsibility to sort this out and there are zero degrees of freedom that allow him to be nice. It is clear that he knows this.

I hope this beating humbles the coach and staff. Meyer eating pizza all by himself is what this feels like. It's humbling to lose like that. Use it. Be more flexible in your thinking and be creative like we see somethimes. Man he has plays in that book that are fantastic when he breaks them out but he doesn't do it enough. We've all seen it on game day when a play we haven't seen before strikes for 30 yards and the machine starts to grind the other team down. His Offense is good enough to be multiple national champions. He has to be humble enough to hand the reigns over to a defensive guru that can attack other teams the way he does on offense.

I actually think we want Michigan to win……everything I’ve looked at (I’ve looked at everything) says we want the added SOS with Michigan winning.

That said, if Cincy and Okie State win early, fuck Michigan, I’m all for Iowa.

OSU isn’t gonna jump a 2 loss Michigan after what happened in “the game”. So in a close race for the last remaining spots we want our resume strengthened not weakened.
