HBO television: the best on TV.

I can't get enough of what HBO has. Maybe it's because they have little to no language restrictions, but that's not exactly what does it for me, I guess. It's not the recycled BS of FOUR different CSI shows, NYPD Blue, The Shield, et. al.

The Sopranos is probably my most favorite TV show of all time. The depth of character in Tony Soprano is amazing... it's almost perfect in every way, and James Gandolifini is awesome. He's a real cold hearted evil tyrant, but I can't help but pull for him.

Deadwood is my favorite new show HBO has. It's really catching on quickly, too. Al Swarengen is such an entertaining guy, and if you like bastards and killin', this show is for you. I don't think a show goes by in Deadwood where someone isn't dead.

Oz is the best show HBO doesn't show anymore. It was a personal favorite, and quite cool. I coulda done without all that man-penis, but oh well.

Shows like Carnivale, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City (huge with the women), and more. Their sports shows are pretty good, too. Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel is good. Bob Costas is the man. Bill Maher is a very entertaining man, regardless of if you like him or not.

I don't think HBO is underrated at all (look at al the emmys they win), but it's really the only TV I watch, outside of sports, of course.

I was reminded of this watching Deadwood and thinking "man, no one could ever come up with this stuff for network TV." Then again, I think they say 'cocksucker' like 55 times an episode.

I miss HBO... haven't had it since last August. Deadwood is my second favorite (The Sopranos is #1 of course)... my parents taped the first episode on Sunday but I haven't seen them to get the tape yet... I'm dying to see it.

I had the opportunity to meet Michael Imperioli, Dominic Chianese and Tony Sirico one time when they were doing some press for the show. I had a 10 minute conversation with Dominic Chianese about his singing and some short films he has done... one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Wow, how could I forget Larry David?
"Our Lord and Savior isn't a ghram cracker, Larry!"
"This chronic is the shiznic. Sounds like Yittish to me!"

Loky--I loved the first ep. of this season's Deadwood. It was the first part of a two-parter.

I watch Carnivale, but I couldn't get into Deadwood. I've only had HBO for a couple years so I never got into any of the other shows.

Lost, Alias, and Nip/Tuck are also worth watching.

Huge fan of both the Soprano's and Deadwood. Also, before Deadwood on Sunday, they showed previews for a new series starting in the fall...I think the name was "Rome". It looked really sweet as well. I've never gotten into Carnivale or Curb your Enthusiasm.

I love Carnivale and watch Deadwood too. Carnivale is hard to watch unless you have been watching from the very beginning. . .

My only network show is Lost.

And of course the huge nerd in me watches the Stargate series on scifi. . .

Oz really is a great show...I have the first three seasons on DVD. It's funny how almost every actor ever to appear on Oz has also appeared on one form or another of Law & Order. I know a couple of the Oz writers were also writers for shows like Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Nip/Tuck and The Jury.

I also really enjoy The Sopranos, Carnivale, Def Poetry Jam, Da Ali G Show and Inside the NFL. The America Undercover shows are a little dark, but usually pretty entertaining and informative as well.
