Oregon ATH commit Dontre Wilson told me in Orlando that if Chip Kelly left he would stay because Helfrich would get promoted to HC.

This will get interesting...if Wilson is not completely sold on Oregon without Kelly (I highly doubt this doesn't impact his decision), I really think he ends up in S&G. While I would like to see us finish with Smith/Clark, Hunt, and Bell, the staff clearly loves Wilson and has never let up recruiting him...he has always seemed like a 1A type of recruit regardless of position. Furthermore, I love his film. He is the kind of guy that can make in instant impact in the return game for us...loses no speed off his cuts and gets to full speed in a blink of an eye.

Count on this: Urban will finish this class in solid form. It may be with Wilson or it may not but clearly he is gunning for a SOLID finish. Let's hope it includes Wilson.

Free Rivals - Kelly's departure changes Oregon outlook

Wilson initially said that he would stay committed to Oregon no matter what but has since changed his stance.

According to his head coach Claude Mathis, the four-star back will take visits to other programs while remaining a soft commitment to the Ducks.

Mathis told Rivals.com that he expected Wilson to visit Ohio State this coming weekend and may also be considering Notre Dame and Clemson for future visits.

Seems like he could play slot or RB...almost in the Jalin Marshall mold. Wonder how interested Urban is in getting a commitment this weekend.

Jalin is WR, can't see RB for him. I was wondering how Wilson would fit in with Zeke.

It's the famous "Percy Harvin" role.. I had assumed Jalin would be used the same way..."all over the field". Perhaps I am mistaken.

No I think you are right but it seemed like Jalin would be more WR, Zeke would be more RB and Wilson if we landed him would play the pivot (Harvin) role to me. The great thing is that all 3 are great runners and all 3 can catch the ball.....so many options.

Yep. Somehow I think UFM would be able to fit Jalin, Zeke, and Dontre on the field at the same time. Imagine those three with Braxton on the field at the same time. Yes, please...
