Hawaii is indeed scheduled to play at Michigan on 9/3/2016 (they are also playing at Kansas on 9/24/2016)...I don't see them making three trips to the Midwest in one season, so 2016 is out.
As for 2015, the only game they have scheduled at all so far is at home against Colorado on 9/5/2015 (which is an open date for us). In 2015, we have Northern Illinois on 9/12/2015 and are at Virginia Tech on 9/19/2015. Since Hawaii is playing Colorado on our 9/5/2015 open date, they only date we could play Hawaii is 9/26/2015 (still open) because our B1G opener is at Indiana on 10/3/2015.

Talked with my neighbor last night and he said that he heard Chow was trying to schedule something for 2017. The only two OOC games we have scheduled for 2017 so far are Oklahoma on Sep 16 and at North Carolina on Sep 23. This may indeed happen...

UH football to play at Ohio State in 2015

An agreement has been reached for the University of Hawaii to play a road game against Ohio State in 2015, according to people familiar with the situation
UH may be breaking in a new coach if things don't pick up under Chow. And don't be shocked if June Jones isn't the one bringing them to Columbus.
